X-Mini II XAM4-P Portable Capsule Speaker, Mono, Pink

Battery Life: Excellent. Used this on a camping trip, volume at about half to 3/4 of full volume for about 5-7 hours per day for 2 days and it didn't deplete. Volume: Very good. For it's size, it is excellent. It will get pretty loud without noticeable distortion. I'm currently using it in a 200 sq. ft. room with my nephew playing video games, and it is able to fill the room with music quite nicely. It probably won't be so effective at a loud party. This will beat out your laptop speaker, by far. Attached to your mobile phone, it works excellent as a speakerphone. Sound Quality: Good. For what it is, the sound exceeds expectations. With the chamber expanded, the sound is not exceptionally accurate, though there is definitely more bass, which is not present with the chamber collapsed. For audiobooks, having the chamber collapsed will produce more accurate sound in the vocal range. Listening to Pimsleur language CDs, I found the voices to be more crisp, less boomy, and easier to discern with the chamber collapsed. Portability: Excellent. The X-Mini II is about the size of a racquet ball. The audio wire coils up into the unit (although the wire is very short). Final Notes: I have used this around the house, at the beach, while camping, in a car, as a speakerphone (connected to my phone and with Skype), and generally, everywhere. I have traveled with it, and will be taking it with me to Brazil in a couple of weeks. It has exceeded expectations for a product this small and in it's price range. Falling on the right side of $30, this is one of the best values you can get.

My wife mentioned that she wanted a dock or something that could increase the volume/quality of the music she plays on her Galaxy S3 at work and around the house, and I came across this and decided I'd give it a try. I can't say enough good things about this little guy! The sound output for something so small is simply amazing and the battery life is outstanding. I bought this for her for Christmas, and she's used it quite a bit at work and I know I've put several hours on it while cooking dinner in the evenings, and we've yet to charge it once! The packaging states a 12 hour battery life, and I imagine it may be even longer than that (I haven't actually counted the hours we've put on it so far, but we've used it quite often over the last 4 weeks). Everything about this speaker screams high quality. The build quality feels strong, and the way you twist to lock it into a ball for storage and transportation feels very durable as well. It comes with a nice little pouch you can store it in while not in use. I think this unit will hold up well as long as you take care to secure it (compress and lock) when you're done using it. The 3.5mm jack stores nicely into the underside of the unit, making it nice and compact for transportation between work, school, home, etc. Although we don't have a second (or third or fourth), this has a port that you can hook up multiple X-mini II's in a daisy chain fashion for "jaw-dropping stereo sound". I'd be interested to see this kind of setup and what kind of increase in sound/quality you'd get. As for the sound from a single unit, I tested my phone on it's own at about 3/4 volume, which sounded like my speakers were going to explode and the mid and high tones were more piercing than anything. I then connected the X-mini II, with my phone volume at half and slowly increased the volume on the unit until I reached max volume. The difference was night and day. The bass was rich and the mid and high tones were smooth as butter. This unit on it's own was "jaw-dropping" enough to me. It's been close to a month now and I've had zero issues with mine, so I'm anticipating we'll be using this thing for a nice long time. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable speaker unit to increase your phone/mp3 player volume and quality.

I researched countless portable speakers on Amazon before closing the deal with the X-Mini II. This was my experience thus far (about a week of ownership): - Sound is LOUD for such a small item. I use it at work in a busy pizza joint and I have to turn it down so I can hear the customers. Seriously? That's loud for something the size of a tweeter in my car. - Sound quality is there. Nothing an audiophile would write home about, but my assumption is that no single portable mono speaker is going to deliver what you'd consider "great sound quality." Are your friends really going to complain about how crisp and rich the highs and mids are while you're drinking cervezas on the beach? That was a rhetorical question, to which the answer was clearly "no." - Lacks a punchy bass, although definitely holds its own for a TWEETER! I read reviews from guys that were shocked at how small this speaker was, but I was STILL shocked at its size. Honestly, bassheads might want to consider not buying a portable speaker. You fellas need a boombox. Anything this small will obviously lack bass. If you are expecting deep resonating sound from a miniscule product then you belong in an asylum. If you're looking for a great item that delivers what it advertises then hit the checkout button already! Also, I should address the "sounds like laptop speakers" reviewers. You guys must have some premium woofers shaking your laptop so hard that you need to replace your hard drive on a monthly basis. Plus, I guarantee you don't have a mono setup in that laptop. 'Nuff said. Finally, I didn't give this product 5 stars because I wasn't necessarily blown out of my mind by the item, but I'll leave this review with: anyone looking for a fantastic, loud, solid portable mono speaker should buy this product because it's a pretty damn good bang for the buck (which everyone could use a little of these days).

Suono eccellente, bassi intensi e soprattutto facilità di trasporto. Una casssa potente e funzionale con possibilità di essere portata sempre con in un borsello, zaino, borsa o anche nella tasca di un giubotto visto le dimensioni ristrete. Possiede un cavetto con jack cuffie per essere connesso ad ogni dispositivo che ne abia uno. Led di accensione/caricamento nella parte bassa, sul lato presa mini-usb per il caricamento o connessione audio (mediante caveto apposito all'interno della confezione che oltre a caricare il dispositivo, converte la mini-usb nel jack cuffie) e ingresso sul lato opposto di un jack cuffie per permettere l'attacco in serie di ulteriori casse, per amplificare a dismisura il suono sprigionato. Tempo di durate della batteria interna soddisfacente. Sicuramente un ottimo prodotto se si vuole sentire e condividere la musica del proprio cellulare o mp3 con amici o con l'ambiente che ci circonda.

I'm going away on a week long school trip to Wales and we all get a room to ourselves. I didn't own any portable speakers and I thought since I would be spending quite a lot of time in the room, I'd better get some. After surfing around I saw this little thing. A little concerned the size and low wattage would mean poor sound quality, I was reluctant. After reading many positive reviews, I decided it was worth the risk for £15. They arrived a day before expected. The packing was good, it kept the product well protected and ultimately did it's job. After taking it out of the box I really was surprised by the size of the speaker. When closed, it's a little bigger than a golf ball. I don't think anyone can say this isn't portable... I plugged it into my iPod Touch and played a song with a good mix of highs and lows. At first I wasn't too impressed, but then I remembered it can be opened up, and wow what a difference it makes to the sound! The bass is flawless and when put on a solid surface like a wooden desk, it really does sound very good. The clarity is definitely there, and these really do crank up loud. It's only when you put it up to it's very loudest that you get distortion, but you would rarely need to put them up that loud as they really do fill the room with sound. I can't comment on battery life as I've not used it for long enough to drain the battery, but the quoted 12 hours is impressive, and having an internal rechargeable battery is also definitely a plus. The attached cable is short but very useful as you don't have to carry one around and the included charging cable is also rather short, but it does the job. Excellent sound quality. Very loud. Good build quality. Very portable. Overall, a great product well worth £15.

I bought this item after being loaned one for some training at work, as the lead that i needed for speakers had gone missing. I never thought that such a little thing, could give out such an amazing sound so I had to have one for myself. I like the way it folds neatly away in its pouch. It was easily recognised by my computer and once I realised that I had to have the volume up on the computer setting, it really worked well and loud in a classroom setting which was important for training, also, the speakers on my computer do not work as well as they used to, so this is fantastic. I have also attached it to my ipod and the sound is amazing. I am very impressed with such a little portable gadget, great for moving around the house and will be great for use in the caravan awning or picnics. Very pleased.

La primera noche que lo usé me impresionó... al menos 7 horas a máximo volumen tanto del propio altavoz como del móvil con el que lo uso, aguantando bajos, bombos, cajas, música electrónica y mezclas instrumentales que llegan a colapsar los altavoces del coche. Muy sorprendido por su pequeño tamaño y precio. Mencionar que aunque muy buenos calidad-precio, no dejan de ser unos altavoces portátiles, a máximo volumen (dependiendo del propio volumen con el que se ha editado la canción, claro está) te pueden servir para amenizar una habitación grande o un salón mediano, mientras te duchas o para hacer multitud de tareas y quieres tener música de fondo...no son un equipo de música ni unos altavoces de red. Incluye un cable para cargarlo y un puerto mini jack para conectar con la tablet, móvil, portátil, etc.Comentar que este cable no parece muy duradero, si no se trata con cuidado dudo que no tarde en romperse la verdad. También incluye una bolsa para llevarlo de viaje, muy útil !!! Por ese precio es justamente lo que buscaba, muy satisfecho con la compra !!! Es el segundo que compro !!! Ahora cuando uno los dos el sonido es incluso mucho mejor, con mayor potencia y mejor calidad... me estoy planteando comprar alguno más y conectarlos porque tiene que ser una pasada.

Très bon produit, très bonne durée de vie ! Ça fait plusieurs années (3 ou 4) que je possède ce produit, et je dois dire que je suis stupéfait. Il y a deux principales faiblesses (je rappelle que je le possède depuis longtemps) : - Le mini câble jack intégré de quelques centimètres, caché sous l'enceinte est très pratique, mais a fini par s'abîmer à sa base (gaine du câble ouverte) comme on le voit sur la deuxième photo. Malgré cette fragilité le mini câble continue de fonctionner pour le moment. - La partie supérieure de l'enceinte, celle qui vibre, a tendance à prendre les saletés et la poussière et est compliquée à nettoyer (première photo) Le câble fourni pour recharger le x-mini possède deux embouts: USB pour recharger l'enceinte et embout jack pour l'écoute de musique. Donc même si le petit câble jack intégré ( celui sur la troisième photo) venait à ne plus marcher, le câble d'alimentation peut le remplacer sans problème (dernière photo) et présente l'avantage d'être plus long ! L'objet est vraiment petit, surtout lorsqu'il est replié et pourtant dispose d'une bonne qualité sonore avec des basses puissantes (pour ce type de produit évidemment), a partir d'un certain niveau sonore le x-mini a tendance à pas mal vibrer mais ça ne dérange pas pour l'écoute. La structure est en plastique robuste, c'est moins agréable que du métal mais c'est plus léger. En résumé, c'est une bonne mini enceinte avec un excellent rapport qualité prix ! Elle est robuste et tient bien sur la durée (sauf le mini câble après quelques années) donc pour le prix il n'y a pas trop d'hésitation à avoir selon moi. Elle me sert souvent pour avoir un son plus puissant et plus agréable que celui des enceintes du téléphone ou de l'ordi, sans avoir à transporter un gros objet. PS: Si je voulais être vraiment méchant et tatillon, je dirais qu'on aurait apprécié que le câble d'alimentation ait un embout micro USB standard comme les téléphones et autres objets du genre, mais c'est un détail et la concurrence ne propose pas souvent ça non plus.
