Ghostek Cloak 3 Military Drop Tested Shockproof Slim Clear Case for iPhone 8 Plus & iPhone 7 Plus (Red)

Let me start with the only negative that I can come up with:This case was a huge challenge for me to get on my iPhone. I’m embarrassed to admit it actually took me three or four attempts. I have had about every iPhone case imaginable and this was the most difficult to install.HOWEVER, it was totally worth it! This case looks really amazing on my jet black iPhone 7 Plus. It feels great in the hand. The case is very similar in size to Apple’s leather case, but adds so much more protection. If you’ve tried many cases, you probably are aware of the different ways to go about using the volume buttons. Ghostek goes first class on the Cloak and uses physical buttons that are satisfying and easy to press. They look good, too. Be patient with that first installation, and you may never want to take this case off…

The Cloak 3 is lightweight but durable. It feels snug and protective -- not too light, not too bulky. The red accent along the frame provides just enough protection for peace of mind. Wireless charging works great, no issues. It has a grippy feel and is not slippery in your hand. I love it. The red and gold (iPhone 8 Plus) go very well together.

The outer red frame broke within the first week. The red frame seems to be the weakest part of the case and not the most durable or sturdy. The seller, however, was really helpful in providing a replacement. Unfortunately, I had already thrown away the original (Must return broken original) and I was charged for the extra. Overall, the seller support makes up for this case's weaknesses.

It’s a good looking case, but it broke within the first 48 hours of having it. It’s going in the trash since it’s a waste of money.

I got my case today. I love the look and feel of it. However, my case had the power/lock button issue that others have mentioned. Anytime you press the case near or around the power/lock button on my iPhone 8+ it would press the button underneath the case. To fix this, I popped the little chrome button out of the plastic casing. I then used a file to grind down the two little tabs that touch your phones power button until the piece was flat. This completely fixed my issue so I’ll give this case a 3-star since it needed a little surgery to work as intended. The pic shows the difference in the power/lock button compared to the untouched volume buttons. The volume buttons still have those little tabs attached. Hopefully this helps.

Like all other Ghostek products I’m happy with the quality and fit of this case. It’s a bit stiff putting it on for the first time but the fit and feel of the case is perfect once installed. There is a overlap of the screen so even if the phone is dropped face down it feels like the screen would be protected.

This is an amazing case i just got it in the mail today and was so eager to put it on! The case seems very durable and protective and makes my phone feel a lot lighter in hand than my other protective case which made the phone seem bigger!

This case is much better than my previous case. It a dual layer case that protects your phone much better than others I’ve seen. The metallic buttons on both sides of the case give it a premium feel. When you press them, it feels like it came from part of the phone itself. The backing is clear as expected. I would recommend this case.Update July 09 2019After 1 months of use the inner plastic had bent a lil when I took it off to clean the back of my phone. The soft inner shell wouldn’t align correctly with the outer hard shell but I am able to look past it. It still protected my phone. 1 month later (2 months of owning) the outer hard shell has broke on the bottom, which creates a sharp like piece. I am unsure how this has happened just pulled it out of my pocket and the outer hard shell was broke. This case is okay. I’m really surprised on how it doesn’t hold up well as time goes by.

This is my second one as my first broke with in weeks. Amazon sent a replacement quick but sadly Ghostec have poor customer service

専用のケースに梱包された状態で届きました。iPhoneはレッドなので同色を頼みましたが、本体より若干色合いが薄い程度(本体が真紅なら、赤色といった感じでしょうか)で、本体色を損なうことがありませんでした。取り付けはかなりキツめで、TPUのソフトケースをはめた後、バンパーを押し込んで装着しようとしたら、バンパーがキツすぎてうまくできませんでした。ですので、TPUケースとバンパーを重ねた状態で、iPhoneを慎重に押し込んでいったらうまく装着できました。ちなみに、ガラス面の保護シールはフルカバーのシールを貼ってますが、干渉はありませんでした。それほどのキツさ故に、スマホとケースの間にガタつきなどはなく、しっかりフィットしている感じです。バンパーはハードPC素材とのことですが、シリコンほどのグリップ力はありませんが、だいぶ滑りにくくはなり、手の小さい方は助かると思います(当方も手は小さいです)。また、シリコンのように毛やホコリはほぼ付着することはありません。☆-1の理由としては、音量のミュートボタン部分は何も覆われておらず、ケースが厚いためツマミの切り替えがしにくくなっています。また、気になるかは人それぞれですが、TPU素材には指紋が結構ハッキリ残ります。以上、色々書きましたが、当方はとてもいい買い物をさせていただいたと思いました。耐衝撃については、できればレビューしたく無いですが(苦笑)、その時はレポートします。
