They did the job
I used them all the way up to 12,000. They did the job I wanted. I used them to wet sand and they worked fine. I cleaned them after and have reused them again. The only thing I recommend is that you get a sharpie and write the grit number on the back. The numbers they come with fade quick.

The kit left me with a beautiful, optically clear result
Arrived exactly as promised. I used this to polish up a casting I had done in polyester resin. I was expecting to have to use some buffing compound after going through all the grits in this pack, but there was no need. The kit left me with a beautiful, optically clear result.I don't think it's the kit's fault, but worth mentioning: the higher grit pads are reeeeeeaalllly fragile - don't allow the sanding pad to slide across a sharp edge or it'll just abrade the grit on the pad completely off. It's not like 220-grit wood pads, I found myself paying more attention to not damaging the pad than I did to not damaging my piece!

Started to shred with first use
I think I may have gotten a defective set as while using the first couple disc, they started to shred on me.

AWESOME for finishing
These micro mesh discs are fantastic. I have used them on several projects to get a high-gloss burnished finish without waiting weeks for lacquer to cure. First sand to about 400 grit as you usually would, then start working your way up through these discs slowly. Make sure you are using shop vac, tack cloths, and regular dry cloths throughout or you'll clog up the wood pores fast. Once you get up to the highest grit the wood is going to look like it's already been finished. Buff in some Odie's Oil or another good wax/oil combo finish and you'll have a mirror shine.

Great for corian countertop
Easy to use, just step through the numbers, low to high. Finish off with a solid surface polish and looks like new.a bit expesive, considering the surface area you can get out of a single disc, but countertop looks much better!

Good, But Not Perfect
Using a random orbital sander instead of buffing by hand saves quite a bit of work. However, I still like the control I get when hand sanding and buffing. I was surprised that the holes didn't quite match those in my Bosch buffer. That pattern is pretty standard. They are close enough to pull dust through the vacuum port though. I used these on a lacquer finish, and ended up doing the final stages by hand. I always seem to get tiny swirls when I use the ROA and end up smoothing them out by hand. Overall, this is a great product. Since I mainly buff lacquer, I think they might actually work better on other finishes and materials.

Pricy but great
You pay a lot for micro mesh which is a sanding medium. And who likes sanding? NOBODY!! Soooo, why was I willing to pay a premium price for fancy sandpaper? Because it is not sandpaper, it is a mesh. It leaves behind way less scratches and that means way less sanding ! YAAAAAAAAY!!!!! Seriously, for finishing guitars it is the.best thing going!
