Good buy
I got the size "small" so they can fit into my women's size 8 boots and they were great! Although, I suspect they stretched my shoe a bit since my second unbroken-in pair had no break-in period at all when I placed these in and let it sit for a few days. The heel is very narrow, and it makes a noticeable dent when you take them out. When I put my boot on, you can feel a little hollow area where the heel sat against the back of the boot. Def stretched it. Other than that, my boots wear well and the cedar keeps them fresh and draws out any moisture - especially after wearing my boots in the snow.I really like the loop, makes it easy to take out. In the beginning, I maybe should have sanded them a bit since a splinter broke off and hid in my boot - it was the heel area for me.All in all, good buy but I would want to look for a pair with a wider heel next.

Great price and useful handle pull feature, but build quality is only fair to good.
These shoe trees are a mixed bag. The price is exceptional. And the pull tab on the back of the tree is the way all shoe trees should be made--it makes it very easy to compress the spring and pull them out. Other, more expensive (50-75% more) shoe trees have a handle shaped into the wood facing the wrong way, rendering them useless. That said, the quality of workmanship on the Woodlore is not as good as the more expensive ones--which might be expected. But it doesn't have to be that way. The edges of the wood are not finished well, meaning they're sharp and will leave a splinter if you accidentally run your finger or hand against it. Cedar is very soft wood, so blunting this edge takes about ten seconds with a sanding block. Second, the foot portion of one of the pair is cut unevenly and slightly misshapen. This shouldn't affect its operation, but this is merely carelessness on the part of the person who cut it on the saw, the person who sanded it, and the quality control individual (who let it get sold). I'm also unsure why it says "Allen Edmonds" beneath the Woodlore name. These look nothing like Allen Edmonds shoe trees (I own them as well) and they have the well-finished attributes I mentioned above that are lacking in the Woodlore. Bottom line, these do the job and they're a good value for the price, but attention to detail is lacking.

They smell good and keep my shoes looking great
These trees are a great value. I've purchased several pairs for my dress & casual shoes. They have a great aroma right out of the box. Be careful because some of them have residual wood dust on them. Once, I places a brand new pair of trees into some new white sneakers. The cedar stained the inside of the shoe. I dusted the cedar off with a brush. Lesson learned. Now, I wipe them down with a damp cloth & let them dry before inserting them into a new pair of shoes. My favorite feature of this product is the handle. More expensive trees have hooks, or knobs that break. They can be awkward to use, or difficult to remove. The handles on these trees make placing them into & removing from, my shoes effortless. I own over a dozen of these!! Thanks

Great item to protect your investment in your shoes! AMAZING value!!!
I recently upgraded my shoe wardrobe to higher quality shoes, including some Allen Edmonds shoes (a couple pairs). These weren't cheap, so I wanted to protect them and help them not lose their shape (I try and rotate shoes to wear them 1-2x / week).I tried several shoe trees, including those I purchased from Allen Edmonds. Most of them were either too small or too big, or TOO EXPENSIVE! I was looking for something that was real cedar wood (love the scent, and that they protect my shoes), and that would fit my shoes well, to avoid creases or sagging in my shoes. These shoe trees are great - I wear a 13D, and the tree fits, even with some insoles. I can't say anything negative about these - they are several months in and still smell great!

Great high quality shoe trees. Great company. Made in usa
I purchased these shoe trees as a gift for my son. When they arrived, the shoe trees were fine, but the box was damaged. I requested the company send me a new box, as they were to be a gift. Without hesitation, the company responded and sent out a new box for me to present them in. I was very pleased with their willingness to do this, as to many, it might seem like a silly request, especially since the product, itself was fine. But it meant a lot to me, and I will now be a loyal customer. The shoe trees are well made and will last a lifetime.

Extends life on your best shoes...
I bought my first pair of these in my early twenties. When you don’t have a lot of money and love great shoes, you are very fortunate if you learn about shoe trees. Even today, I passed the knowledge on to my sons and got each of them their first pair.If you have never tried them, you owe it to yourself and your shoes.

Good but smaller than expected
Good quality and smells like fresh cedar out of the box. But the sizes are small. I bought small because it’s meant to be 6.5 to 8.5 (I’m 8) but it was a little too small. Next time I’d get a medium.
