As I have simplified my fly fishing outfit over the years I started leaving my waders at home most days. A day on the stream can get very cold for your feet, and I decided to try these neoprene socks to see if they would do the trick. The price is right, so it's not a big risk.I ordered the XL size for my m10 1/2 feet. They are a little loose, but not bad at all. I don't think I would want a smaller pair to be honest.The velcro strap is stiff, and at first I was thinking I might cut it off. I am keeping it for sure now. The strap secures the top of the sock so pebbles, sand and dirt won't get in, but water is still allowed into the sock. For those who aren't aware, these are not "Dry Socks," but "Wet Socks." That means that some water is in the sock being warmed by body heat, and that keeps you warm.I am wearing these with Salomon Techamphibian shoes. The compliment the Salomons perfectly. They do have little gripper dots, and no sole. They are designed as socks, not as booties.

You can rent gear at Zion to do the Narrows or buy and bring your own, then have something to show for it. These socks worked GREAT. I wore shorts, so my legs were cold, but my feet were warm and that helped keep me warm!

They fit great and work perfect!

A good insulating layer I wear inside my water shoes. Kept my feet warm and somewhat dry in hours of rafting and paddling and wading.

They are perfect socks for wearing with my Aqua Lung Trek fins. I bought an extra set to have a backup pair so I always have a pair handy.

The fit was good, they functioned perfectly for kayaking but the soles have worn through in just 2 months. Maybe that is par for the course but still feels a bit disappointing. I had hoped to get twice that out of them. I'll try a different brand and see if there is any difference. May update review in future.

Sizing was too small for XL. Needed to cut back of sock to fit. Poor product. Bad choice.

Fit tightly to keep water & great in cold pool for keep my freezing feet warm
