This is an unexpectedly nice kit. The joystick hardware is indistinguishable from the OEM parts (if, indeed, they are not in fact the same as the OEM parts). The three tools included (screwdriver, metal spudger, and ultra-fine-point tweezers) are retail quality and a far cry from the disposable tools that come with most kits. Even the extras such as the thumb pads and joystick hats are great. And the kit includes a baggie of screws, which is a thoughtful addition.I was able to fix my drifting stick by replacing the wipers and cleaning the beds with alcohol, so I didn't need to actually replace the joystick mechanism. The other stick hadn't started acting up yet, but I did the same procedure on that one. The controller is back to like-new condition and works great.

The kit itself is of good solid quality; better than expected. This is NOT for a novice DIY person. This repair if completely replacing the parts in full requires a good level of soldering skill and tools. The pcb solder joints are coated and protected which requires a great deal of patience and skill and experience to remove with wicking. You will need the following; soldering iron capable of moderately high heat level, small conical tip, solder, flux, wick, dental tools, micro cutters, isopropyl, acid brush. A head lamp helps, if you hace a small vice and microscope it will help. This will take 2 hours to remove and resolver all parts with care. It can be done but is it worth it? That depends on your value of time and cost of frustration. The kit though is very good quality so if you’re in to win it; this kit will do the job.

All the tools in this kit did and continue to come in handy. Made repairs very easy. Only "complaint" would be, tweezer tips are weak and bent easily. Joy stick components work flawlessly...so far. Screw driver is perfect size and I have yet to have any issues with screws stripping.

Order this to replace my analog control that broke when my PS5 controller fell.Pro: All the parts came in a sealed camp plastic bag, All the parts of the same size and fit the area,Con: but not advise you to try to do this yourself, You have to remove sorter You have to remove the old soldering metal from the existing controller and resolder the new part to the board if you don't have experience you can severely burn yourself or burn through the board or possibly short out the controller. So please be responsible and professional if you bought this in your unable to install it yourself you can take the part to a repair place and have them do the repair for you at a lower cost as your supplying the material.

Found that most were as advertised, but unless you have a computerized soldering system you will not be able to replace the thumb controllers as they are all done by a machine. The time and effort needed to replace just one is a waste. As it was explained online your best bet is to reset the controller to see if that solves the drift issue. If not, your best hope is warranty with Sony as they are the only ones that will be able to redo the potentiometers on the board. After talking with Sony, they explained that they don't even bother. They just replace the entire board rather than unsoldering and redoing the potentiometers for the thumb controller. Unless you are a professional electrician, this package is a waste.

This is a great set given all the tools they include. The potentiometers are the exact same as the ones in my controller. You get extra thumb pads (not really needed but nice to have). The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was the tweezers are nice but need to have slightly larger pads as they do not help with pulling out the ribbon cables. Great for a small splinter though, LOL. I had to use my small needle nose plyers to get the ribbon cables off and on. Also, I installed a new assembly as my issue I was having was stick drift to the left. After replacing the whole assembly the issue is corrected but I have ever so slight drift now to the upper right if looking at a map on HellDivers II. My character does not move nor does the my curser move if I am in the main menu like it did before replacing only if I am looking at the map so I am satisfied. One side note, if you plan on unsoldering and soldering these in, I highly recommend using a good heat gun as the pads are double sided and a soldering iron just doesn't get it hot enough to melt the solder on both sides. I struggled using just my adjustable soldering station to get the old ones out. I also used solder wick and a solder sucker but ended up tearing a small run when removing the pot. Wasn't an issue since it just tied the two legs of the R3 switch together which the run on the opposite side did as well.

Bought these to fix the drift. You need to soldering to not easy. I switched out the circular rings within each of the squares with new ones from the package and it worked like a charm. Screwdriver provided and Alaric spatula did the trick for disassbly.

I managed to fix two controllers with this set, but some of the sensors seamed used and unusable cause their was a yellowish/ green tinge kinda gunk on them so I'd rather not risk it when trying to fix electronics, you want clean parts, I used only the clean ones

For starters, all of what’s included here was shipped in a little plastic bag with most of the joystick modules not even having separate packaging.I replaced potentiometers in two separate controllers, first controller now entirely does not work (replaced both pmeters in both joysticks) second controller now suddenly always presses up on the dpad, only replaced the potentiometers for the left analog stick, rendering two controllers completely unusable now.Dont waste your money.

I ordered this because I had a drift issue in my ps5 controller. I replaced the parts and the drift got worst. I kept changing the parts but ot no avail the drifting was getting worst.i had an older controller with broken cover. I took the original parts from it and replaced them with the other controller and now everything is working 100% perfect.This product is defective and does not fix your drifting issue if you are looking to fix that. Try someone else. Do not waste your money.
