Effective, nonoff flavours, and strong. Made for great mead
Awesome yeast. It's called the beast for a reason. Used it for 3 batches of mead so far, never introduced any off flavors, and got all 3 right up to 14% abv. I used some fermaid at the start just tonreally kick things off, and this yeast chugged on perfectly until dry. Will be using moving forward, and looking forward to my next batches!

Mellow After One Month
Great cider brew after 1 month of fermentation. I would not recommend drinking sooner. After 1 month it's a very mellow brew. Excellent yeast.

Must have for Mead
Used this to make a clone of Superstition Meadery Marion. The yeast has been reacting perfectly. Definitely will be the go to yeast for meads moving forward.

Keeping it handy
I got this to make my very first batch of mead. Or just regular wine. Since my neighbor has a grape vine, and I just planted a vine myself. The honey for the mead is locally produced and I think I need another jar of it before attempting this task. 😅

Best for fruit mead/melomel!
Still got a great expiry date! Great price for how much you get. Lalvin 71B is known to be the best for fruit mead or melomel. I've made a lot of sour tart cherry melomel with 71B with fantastic results compared to other yeasts. It'll go up to 14% ABV which is strong enough to make it worth brewing and low enough for it to be drinkable!

love this for making mead/wine. It is a very reliable quality and produces predictable results. Good alcohol tolerance too. it may seem more expensive than other brands it does work out quite cost effective as I’ve never had a bad batch using this yeast. My preferred yeast for wine/mead making adventures
