Henna Plus Colour Powder - Dark Brown

I was very wary as I'd never heard of this make before, and I certainly didn't want to look like one of the witches from "Wicked," but I was very happy with this product. I have natural auburn hair but my colour had faded, not to a grey, but to a very bland sort of beige, and in the past I'd used Henna products and a particular Schwartzkopf Country Colours pack, but for the last six years or more, hadn't been able to find either of these products. For me, this product was absolutely fantastic and put the life and colour back into my hair without looking ridiculous. I was really delighted with the end result, which looks completely natural. I have extremely thick frizzy hair and had bought two packets, but as it turned out, one packet would have done, even though it doesn't look as though there's much powder in the box. I did carry out the test first, but from my experience, I can highly recommend this if you want a natural look. I will be using this again in future.

Have had compliments on my hair colour but it's hard to apply on your own.

Dilute colouring. I have been using henna for 30 years to dye my hair red/mahogany and this dye is very dilute compared go other brands. Left on for over 1 hour and vaguely dyed my mousy brown hair but no staining/dying of my skin/scalp. I have used henne dye for many years but couldnt get hold of it for the past 6 months so tried this but nowhere near the strength of henne colouring. (May be an odd review to say doesn't dye skin or scalp, but usually henne so strong that if drops fall on your arms or face then end up with an orange stain - does wear off, but at least shows it is doing something. Don't waste your cash on this - buy henne brand. Also henne leaves my hair shiny and glossy with no conditioner but after rinsing off this dye and shampooing my hair was a mess of tangles - does not condition as too dilute a henna.

I received the item very early and it was well packaged. This is a wonderful product, the best one I personally have known for ages! I shall keep buying it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants healthy hair with beautiful hues of colour. It covers the white beautifully. I have tried other colours too of the same brand: they are all excellent. I have even mixed red and blond to make my own combination and it worked wonderfully. It also applies easily. Bought this brand as my usual had disappeared from Amazon... Powder was not as fine as I am used to and the colour when mixing didn't seem to be quite right either- persevered but result was very disappointing - mixture was difficult to apply (very bitty and lumpy - kept falling off!) and although I left it on for longer than the 'necessary' time the colour did not take and I ended up re doing my hair using a different brand a week later. In short, messy and not worth the effort

I would have given this five stars if it had made a significant difference to the colour of my hair. Otherwise this henna powder is nice and fine, it mixes up very smoothly and goes on a treat. I would have expected 'Super Red' to actually be rather a strong red but as a long time user of henna powders this made little or no difference to my hair colour. It has the usual instructions for mixing and they say to apply soon after mixing (ie when cooled enough). There is a different brand which I have discovered recently which is hard to get hold of which recommends leaving the mix for an hour to mature before applying to your hair. This brand did make a good change in the colour of my hair. It also suggests adding plain yogurt to that brand which I think affects the acidity.I would sum this up by saying that Hennaplus Colour Powder Super Red mixes smoothly, is easy to apply but fairly ineffective colourwise.

Quick delivery. Wonderful product - easy to use and a glorious shiny result. My hair is medium brown/red naturally and I got a wonderful auburn glow. Just a heads up though - I've only got shoulder length hair but it's VERY thick and I had to use two packets. So if you have really thick hair, best to order two just in case :) I'll never go back to box dyes.
