A little hard getting around the corner in the T from the filter pipe section into output pipe. Found it helped to squeeze some air out of the plug then capping the air hose to hold it slightly flatter for insertion. For use with the air hose, removed the guts from the plug's schrader valve. Even though the hose has the piece to open the valve, I wanted to be sure it couldn't be accidentally locked in place somehow. The hose has no place to install the valve at the pump end. Therefore... - Connected hose tight to plug. - Squeezed plug to flatten a little and capped with a regular schrader valve cap. - Inserted into down into filter pipe and 90 degrees through T into output pipe. - Removed cap and Inflated with bicycle pump just enough to grab plus a couple of extra pumps. - Folded the hose and pinched HARD while disconnecting pump and capping with the valve cap. - Made the downstream repair. - Removed cap to deflate then removed plug. Hint: When done, replaced air hose cap then soaked the whole thing in Clorox Cleanup (could use bleach) for a few hours, swished it around in a bucket, then rinsed. Can I bend this plug 90 degrees to get it into the drain line?** A: This is a tough call, simply because there's not enough details to go off.. however, depending on how deep the clean out sits below the surface of the soil, then I would not risk trying it. If the clean out opening is above ground and fairly easy to get to, that would make it a bit easier to bend the TP34 by pushing the center of the test plug rubber to create a bend. If the clean out is below the ground, I would not risk or take that chance of getting the test plug stuck. However, should you find away to slip the test plug into the clean out tee easy enough, then be sure to have liquid Dawn soap to allow the TP34 to be easily removed and slip back up and around the tight corner. If you are working with 3" sewer, then I would not attempt inert the test plug at all. 4" possibly! You should be able to see for yourself if the angle is to difficult to get around. Keep in mind that the TP34 waffle body is a very solid piece of rubber. Will this test plug hold sufficient pressure?** A: I don't believe this plug is designed to last 4 months. The air pressure would likely leak out after a week or 2. As a plumbing contractor I've used many different types of test plugs and these are the best. Only minor thing which isn’t even really a problem is it’s difficult to pump up for minor works such as testing waterproofing in shower trays. Must be due to the ungodly amount of pressure you can put into this little plug. 57psi is insane! Holds sewer lines with a huge amount of head with no problems.
