According to the listing these would expire 6 months after the date of opening, but on the package of 300 received it gives an expiration date of 12/31/2026 which would only supply just over 200 days if they do in fact expire on that date. Would appreciate clarification.But we did give this five stars as it's been used for at least a couple of years and they work very well.

This product works good.

These came in several snap-cap plastic containers. It looks like about 50 strips per container. I see no difference from the ones that originally came with the Metene meter. These strips are fairly consistent, however I would guess about 1 in 20 gives a result that is significantly above or below the expected glucose value based on 95% confidence intervals I calculate for analyzing my personal trend data. If a result seems totally off by say +/- 20 mg/Dl, I retest within 2 minutes and the second reading is always back within statistical expectations. So this just seems to be a variance due to the manufacturing process. It is not a critical issue and is probably inherent in all glucose testing strips.

These test strips work accurately and consistently with my Metene glucose meter. They are easy to use and give reliable readings every time. The large 300-count pack lasts a long time, making it a good value. Great item if you already have a compatible monitor.
