I’m of the belief that any electrical device should be kept out of the weather if possible. With that in mind, the male and female ends of the adapter are identical to the female receptacle on the router and the male (router) end of the 75 foot cable. There is an Ethernet port on the device that is no different than a standard wall jack which is definitely not weatherproof. Unless you are planning to leave your router out in the weather, which I think unwise, there is no reason you would be leaving the Ethernet adapter out in the weather.

How would this help to hook up to my TV? What would it do?

If your TV is next to where your Wi-Fi router for your Starlink system is you can run this adapter in line between the cord from the dish and the router plug you then can plug your TV into the adapter with a network cable. If your TV is farther away from where your main router comes in, you need additional Wi-Fi mesh units to extend the signal to the TV in order to use an adapter to hardwire the Internet signal using Sterling‘s remote Nash Wi-Fi set up.

I need to pipe the wifi to a garage about 40 feet from our house. I will have to run a cable to ia second router. This device allow that connection?

Hi there, This adapter will allow you to connect a male RJ45 connector into the female connect on the adapter. The male end of the adapter connects directly to the starlink router. If you are looking to run a standard 50FT ethernet cable (male RJ45 connector on both ends) into a mesh router (so that you can have a wifi signal at another location), then this may not work as the Starlink Mesh Router does not have a RJ45 female connection. Note: Starlink sells the Mesh Router separately, which you would use with Starlink's 75FT replacement to accomplish this.
