The media could not be loaded.  There's something so heartwarming and special about toys like this!The simplicity, the creativity and the endless combinations of things to make... I really was impressed with the amount of colors, the amount of shapes, as well as the shades within each color!The set comes with 27 different colors (6 of each, for a total of 162 Beads) and 7 varying shapes which include: teardrop, cone, disc, "flying saucer" honeycomb "mushroom" and barrel.Just looking at the images as I review this, I feel joyful, the beads are inspiring and fun to play with and when we first opened up the set, my daughters and I sat and set up a scene right away, we had such a blast!My only complaint with the these (and it's not really a complaint, merely an observation) I think there should have been more green beads, there were a lot of the warmer tones, specifically the oranges and yellows, but the set was a tad light on the blues and greens (which maybe I noticed more because this is what I'm drawn to?).I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with younger children, this is so much fun to create with them, letting them suggest things and come up with ideas while having to work around the challenges created by the specificity of the shapes and colors.I think this would make a great Birthday or Christmas present for a little boy or girl and would make for a fun family time activity.Awesome learning toy, great for hand eye coordination and even teaching patience and persistence and the beads can sometimes get to rolling which means slowing down and working intentionally.The colors are gorgeous and bright, the materials are sturdy and you can feel the quality when you pick them up.There was no fading, chipping or peeling paint, and the beads have no unpleasant odors or lacquer, the wood pieces have a nice matte finish which leave them smooth and soft, perfect and safe for small hands to play with.I'm giving these a Happy 5 stars and I think these would be a great joy for any child to play with.I hope this review served to answer some questions or offer some insight and I truly appreciate You taking the time to read this. :)

This 162 piece Wooden Loose Parts set is a very nice affordable option for your little one.They come with like colors and shapes in small zip bags within a larger zip bag.Pros:- you get 162 parts in 7 different shapes and 27 diffrent colors- the paint has not warn off in the past two months of use- great for loose parts play, basket filling, counting, pattern work, color work and imagination playCons:- so far just need to be supervised when very young children are playing with them as they could be a choking hazardOverall, this was just what I needed to fill my 4 year olds spring basket. You can easily look for activities online to print out and add to your child's toy/work shelf. Perfect addition to my 4 year olds Montessori inspired work shelf.

Unfortunately my set had several broken pieces. It was an array of splintered, split, cracked, and/or chipped pieces. Luckily the set (if none were broken) is a good set. There are several colors and shapes to choose and build from. The kids immediately started building and "cooking" with the wooden pieces. They pretended they were making stir fry, pasta, soups, etc. They also did use them for stacking here and there but they seemed to really enjoy using the pieces in the kitchen.Overall satisfied with this set and might buy again. Hoping the set I got was just an oversight with quality control. Luckily it was just a handful of pieces that were damaged. The packaging was fine though so I'm pretty sure the defects happened during manufacturing.
