Bresser 5804000 Microscope Advance ICD 10x-160x stereo

This is an excellent microscope with quality optics. It was bought for the purpose of photographing minerals in conjunction with a 10MP Bresser microcam. The results are of very high quality. The dimmable lamp offers the opportunity to view objects at a variety of lighting levels. Lighting is available from above and below the object and both lights can be used at the same time if needed. Focussing is smooth and the magnification dial offers a gradual increase in object magnification. It is very solidly built. This is not a cheap instrument but a serious scientific instrument. The 18 centimetre elevation column allows a wide range of object sizes to be viewed on the platform.

This is an impressive bit of kit... its a great lump of mostly metal. Sadly its let down by having an Euro Schuko 90 degree plug fitted that is incompatible with our 3 pin system in UK unless you buy adaptor. Ive been able to see a few items using daylight but its got that disappointing feeling that happens at Christmas when new toy doesn't include batteries.It does come with a cover bag but no eyepiece cover protectors. Trinocular is direct route for dust to go straight into optical system. Zoom is good, auxiliary Barlow lens is good but needs more light than just daylight.UPDATE: I noticed that it rattled every time i picked it up.... I discovered that the plastic cover for the 240v mains transformer had come off and exposed the circuit board which had also come out of its housing... it wouldn't have taken much for transformer components to touch metal case and the possibility of being electrocuted ! Thank goodness for the annoying EU plug that meant i didn't plug it in!I cant guarantee the safety of the mains transformer as to whether it has been damaged while flapping about and so i wont plug it in.Optically its very good and unlike a traditional compound microscope it doesn't need internal light and can use sunlight or LED ringlight that has 48mm adaptor when 2x barlow lens isn't being used.It has already got me wondering why daisies have purple blobs on tips of their white leaves?

The optics are ok although they are not AR coated and colour fringing is often obvious but easy to ignore. Acuity is ok if you are patient and 'chase' the zoom function with the focus, this takes a bit of getting used to as the focus is sufficient but not as smooth as it might be. Obviously anything more than about x60 requires patience, and for any kind of critical work an external light source will be needed. For the money it is a good microscope that will suffice so long as you do not expect it to perform like a professional instrument. However, using the adaptor and the T2 ring as supplied by Bresser to attach my Nikon D3200 has so far been a disaster as all I get is a very dingy image which, if I increase the lighting becomes overlaid with a bright central spot and a series of concentric halos which ruin the image entirely. I would like to think I am missing something here but, having vast experience with cameras and microscopes, I cannot see what it might be. I shall try to get some decent images but if this is not possible then it must go back, after all the camera attachment is a major function of the instrument.

Ich möchte diese Gerät als Winzer für einige biologische Krankheits- und Schädlingsanalysen benutzen. Hierbei wird das Mikroscope meistens als "Super-Lupe" verwendet und nicht mit Objektivträger und Durchlicht. Dabei war mir als Brillenträger auch ein Kameraanschluß (oder gleich integrierte Kamera) wichtig. Da es für mich kein Hobby oder tägliche Beschäftigung sein wird, habe ich zuerst die 300,- Euro Klasse angeschaut. Die Modelle mit (HD) Kamera hatten alle den Nachteil, dass die größte Auflösung bei Auflicht nicht anwendbar ist (weil das Objektiv sich ins Objekt drückt). Nach längerem Suchen kamen deshalb zum Schluss nur diese und ein Leica EZ4 E/W oder diese Gerät in Frage.Bresser hat eindeutig das bessere Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Allerdings ist die 5MP Kamera ein zusätzlicher Kostenfaktor bei Bresser. Auch WLAN gibt's nicht. Die 5MP Kamera ist bei Leica sehr schön integriert, während sie bei Bresser den Look eines 2nd World War U-Boots erzeugt.Überhaupt ist das Leica Gerät moderner: LED Beleuchtung auch mit verschiedenen Winkeln - Bresser hat da eine Halogen 10W Strahler, der sich nur wenig justieren läßt. Leica verwendet auch für die Durchlichteinheit LED's und eine elektronische Dimmung - Bresser verwendet hier auch 10W Halogen und eine Drehscheibe für die Dimmung sowie einen echten mechanischen Drehschalter - der rastet wie ein kupplungslose Schaltung ein.Auch der Rest von Bresser ist aus dem letzten Jahrtausend: die Okulare werden nicht mal mit Madenschrauben in Position gehalten sondern mit kleinsten Kreuzschrauben, die schon beim ersten Mal die Kanten hochwerfen.Ja, das Bresser ist solide, aber nicht mechanisch präzise. Da merkt man leider die Fertigung in China - wenn z.B. noch Bohrspäne an den gebohrten Löchern hängen. Wenigstens hat man so gleich was für die optische Beobachtung ...Die Optik ist gut, die Vergrößerung für meine Zwecke super. Die theoretische Vergrößerung ist besser als von Leica.Es gibt auch verschiedene Tischplatten. Gummitüllen für die Okulare und eben die Wechselokulare.Leider sind alle Teile wie auf der Flucht in Plastiktüten eingepackt. Hier wären bei dem Preis bessere Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeiten angebracht ( z.B. Plastik Röhren ( wie die alten Filmdosen für Dia Filme))Das gibt bei der Verpackung nur 3 Sterne.Zur Kamera kann ich leider nichts sagen: ich habe die passende Kamera mitbestellt, aber die läßt sich nicht montieren. Anscheinend benötigt man auch für die C-Mount Kameras einen Adapter - sehr ärgerlich !

Sono un botanico dilettante e ho acquistato questo strumento per osservare particolari di piante.Pienamente soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Al momento ho difficoltà a riprendere immagini di quanto osservato, sto usando una fotocamera compatta che non consente di controllare con sufficiente flessibilità i parametri di ripresa (esposizione e messa a fuoco). Penso che per ottenere buone immagini sia necessario usare una delle MikroCam di Bresser, purtroppo con spesa aggiuntiva.

Acheté après comparaison des caractéristiques techniques et avis d'autres utilisateurs, comparaison faite avec 2 modèles d'Euromex (NexiusZoom et StereoBlue) , Optika SZM-2 (modèle très proche du Bresser), Perfex Zoom Sc 6.1. Tout d'abord, vu que tous ces modèles ont des caractéristiques très proches et qu'ils ont l'air de sortir du ou des mêmes fabricants chinois (vérifiable en cherchant sur le site d'AliExpress) le prix départagera le choix du modèle, et c'est ce Bresser Advance ICD distribué par Amazon qui se démarque de la catégorie.Après différents essais avec les 2 sets d'oculaires, la barlow, différents zooms pour observer des sables rares, les images sont époustouflantes de qualité. Tout l'ensemble est robuste, pas de jeu entre les différents modules, il y a même une lampe et un fusible de rechange, indiquant que le fournisseur allemand se soucie bien des clients (entreprise créée en 1957). La fonction photo avec le 3e tube n'est qu'accessoire car malgré l'ajout d'un bon Canon EOS il y a beaucoup de distorsions, ce qui est normal. Pour les observations visuelles l'appareil est super !
