needed a quick replacement for a broken 10mm marshall pointing trowel. this came the next day and does the job very well. after a little rub down it gives a good finish does not drag holds the pointing mix very well. i would recommend

Only giving a four as the tool was too narrow for what I. Needed and I feel the web description could have made things a bit clearer. Looks well made and durable.

Purchased to carry out repairs to my patio. It made filing the pointing between slabs easier than using a trowel. This is probable not the quality a professional would use every day, but for DIY, you wont buy better.

This is my second time of writing this review because my first one was blocked by Amazon. All I said was that I bought it to fix my garden wall, I've not had a chance to use it yet, but that it looks well made...!

I am not a wholly competent practitioner of DIY. I have bought this to assist with a little bit of re-pointing. To be fair I have not made the attempt yet. Being mainly an office bound man it takes some effort to undertake manly tasks around the house. However, I have examined this item. It is perfect for my patio repointing task. I lovely price and an ergonomically beautiful handle. I have no doubt that it will contribute greatly to the task in hand. This Amtech pointer trowel coupled with my undoubted innate household manly man skills will ensure that the jobs envisaged for it will be completed efficiently and speedily and the outcome will be beautiful. Thank you Amtech.

Looks good haven't used it yet was a good price for a DIYer.

Some of these tools have a bevelled front edge for strength and a flat back for smoothing the mortar. This one has a flat blade both sides and it bends a bit when in use. Okay for diy use (and for the price) but I wouldn’t trust it for professional builders.
