Review: Eley hoses are the best I have found for my usage - Eley hoses are the best I have found for my usage. I currently have 3 of them and intend to replace my old inexpensive hoses with more of these as the old hoses wear out. These hoses lay out in the hot summer sun of the Southwest showing no signs of deterioration. They do not kink. The only downside is their weight which is to be expected and I find to be of no issue. I feel that they are worth the high price tag and will buy them again.

I grew tired of buying a new feeder hose every year because they tended to leak at the joint of the cheaply made, two-part male connector. This one has a solid, one-part male connector and will not have that problem. The hose is fairly expensive, but will have paid itself off after 2-3 years and will save me the hassle of purchasing new hoses every year. I am planning on buying another one for my second hose reel.

**Q: Is this as flexable as a rubber hose?**
A: No,  it is stiffer, but it is flixible enough and doesn't kink. Best hose I ever had and seems extremely durable.

**Q: where is this product made?**
A: Contrary to another answer, Eley's website FAQ has this to say about it's products:

So, in fact, the garden hose IS made in the USA.

**Q: Does this hose lay flat in a 4' circle on the ground or does it need to be on a hose reel?**
A: It's not a "flat" hose in that it isn't "collapsible," but yes, it can be coiled into a circle on the ground.  Also, the circle doesn't have to be 4-feet.  It could be coiled into a circle as small as 18 to 20-inches, depending on the length of hose.  We would recommend using a hose reel for any length 75-feet or more.

**Q: can this hose handle hot water and up to what tempperature??**
A: Rated to 150 PSI and -40°F to 165°F

Eley hoses are the best I have found for my usage. I currently have 3 of them and intend to replace my old inexpensive hoses with more of these as the old hoses wear out. These hoses lay out in the hot summer sun of the Southwest showing no signs of deterioration. They do not kink. The only downside is their weight which is to be expected and I find to be of no issue. I feel that they are worth the high price tag and will buy them again.

This is a rugged hose with solid connectors, and I hope it's the last feeder hose for my hose reel that I will ever buy. This one has a solid, one-part male connector and will not have that problem. The hose is fairly expensive, but will have paid itself off after 2-3 years and will save me the hassle of purchasing new hoses every year. I am planning on buying another one for my second hose reel.
