Fab!! Great fun, entertaining & educational.
Fab!! Great fun, entertaining & educational. Thoroughly enjoyed this box set. Laughed more than I have for ages. Well worth it. As I enjoyed this so much and Amazon recommended it and bought Top Gear the challenges 1-6 + other specials. Only downside is the disks were hard to get out, otherwise fabulous! 10/10. Clarkson, Hammond & May at their best. Contains all specials from the trios Top Gear tenure.

Great box set
Great price for all of the specials,it’s a shame you can’t get this in HD but it still looks good for dvd’s. Really enjoyed watching all of the specials and then watching all the grand tour specials. End of a very funny era

And with that Bombshell, its goodnight from Clarkson, May and Hammond ... "For now!"
May I add, before I start, that I am reviewing the "NEW BOXSET" which only came out in December 2015. It has the silver background with the blue circle and the guys faces (the one above). Some of the reviews here are for older boxsets, "NOT this one"......................................................................................................................................................................I have been waiting awhile now for a complete boxset of ALL the Adventures and here it is!.This is a laugh a minute with these 3, I mean, who "honestly"watched Top Gear just because of the cars?. Sure, the cars were great, but most of us could only afford them on the back of a lottery win, or in our Dreams!.No, most of us watched because of the obvious friendship these guys had for each other and the stupid silly things they said and did every week. This boxset is full of such moments and having grown up over the years with them it's like watching some old friends rather then strangers. The road trips are sensational and I find it hard to pick a favourite but i suppose the American "DEEP SOUTH" road trip is up there as a contender. The boxset is well laid out and starts with the American Deep South where they encounter "Rednecks" in Alabama and from there on the fun continues on 13 disc's. If I had one gripe then it would be that I would have apprieciated a manual just explaining a bit more, but then it would also have been nice to have more of the deleted scenes. But, honestly, this doesn't take anything away from what you get, it would just have been nice to have more extras. This Boxset is a great reminder of what Top Gear was, whether it will be the same under Chris Evans, who knows!. But, without Hammond, May and Clarkson, that's an act I wouldn't want to try and follow and I don't believe anyone can, so I guess this Top Gear will be completly new, but new doesn't always mean better. As for the guys show that will start on Amazon Prime called "Gear Knobs", will it be as funny, I think so. If your funny, then your always funny. But this boxset is great. You know what your getting and you may have seen the road trips before, but for the true fan, that won't stop you watching them again and again

Regular DVD quality starting to show limitations on big screens
I already own most of these specials, but each as a one-off DVD or bluray, so thought it would be nice to have them all collected together, to reminisce on the good old days.I suppose it does, but these are standard definition DVDs, and to be honest that format is starting to show limitations when shown on screens bigger than 42". Some are worse than others - the Africa special with the Subaru, Volvo and BMW while credible in itself is very poor when compared to the bluray - which I did - mainly due to the amazing scenery "the boys" drive through in that adventure. So yeah - it's "ok", but I think I'd rather search out the individual remaining bluray discs that I don't have and buy those, even though it's more expensive in the long run.Giving it 4 stars, because even though I'm being a bit critical here - if you don't have them already, and plan on using a smaller screen, it's a bit of a bargain.
