Easy, fun build, and works well
My 11 yo son enjoyed soldering for his first time. I didn't check the dimensions before purchasing and thought it was a little bigger than it is. It's about the size of a phone and fits in a pocket. The sound is good and we like that you can use headphones and have the option to use batteries or plug it into a USB. Good value for the money too.

Detailed soldering
Nice kit. Well made. The different IC units requires unique soldering skills and equipment. One of the IC has very small attachment legs. I had to buy a different soldering iron for the very tight (0.050) soldering of the legs to the printer circuit board. Overall, the kit was nice and a challenge to assemble.

Easy Build - Doesn't Work
This was a well stocked kit with easy to follow instructions. One of the easiest kits I've ever built and had no issues with construction. Only problem is that when I powered it on: red LED lights, speaker noise display lights flash then nothing else. For this price, it's a gamble on the quality.

Fun kit but a little advanced.
So this kit was a lot of fun. It challenged my soldering abilities. You will definitely need a magnifying glass and some patience.Everything was delivered intact. Instructions are Well presented. Instructions are a little small to read. This kt is not for beginners. All in all it was a lot of fun to build and it seems to work okay.

Great practice kit!
The package is compact and very well presented. The instructions are clear, but if you struggle to read the print, it also comes with a QR code where you can see the instructions with even better text and high resolution images. The speaker was surprisingly loud. It comes with a couple more resistors than needed in case you mess up. Overall a fun little project that's well worth the money.

Easy to solder and fun to see work
Had a fun time soldering the radio. It works after being built so you do know if you soldered it right or not when turning it on. It has a limited amount of stations but is still fun to listen to.

Fun kit to practice your soldering skills
This kit is exactly what you need if you want to learn to solder or just want to build something with an actual purpose. The instructions include pictures so you can see what a part is. The circuit board also has clear markings for where everything goes. I suggest a sharp solder tip as a cpuple of the pads are smaller. Overall a great kit to build a functional radio.

Close, but needs a better speaker
This is a good kit though the provided speaker is garbage and could do will an upgrade. Once I replaced the speaker with a paper 8ohm and adjusted R1 it really came alive. Some have mentioned the SMD parts. If you have solder paste and a hot plate it is far easier to assemble.
