The arrived well packaged, and I am keeping the storage boxes as pictures, which will be useful.They arrived charged, and I understand both from reviews on other sites as well as my own observations that the technology in these batteries is substantially better than previous generation rechargables - they keep the charge for longer, and last for many more cycles of recharging.From my first couple of months of use (mostly in my childrens toy Thomas trains) i can tell you that they seem to last a little longer than previous generation rechargable batteries, although this is a very subjective observation, and i am not measuring in any particular way.I would say that they do what I want them to do, and beyond the slightly higher cost, I am very happy with them.Finally, if you are considering these, it is very worth while investing in a 'smart' recharger (that wont overcharge the batteries); these cost more than a standard recharger, but will keep the life span of these batteries better.

Energizer Bunny??
Used to spend a fortune buying highly expensive 'powerless' duracell batteries to power my flash - whilst looking around for more sensible options i stumbled across these beauties.. Thank God i did.. I have bought nothing else ever since. They power my flashes beautifully - when you order them they come pre-charged and even after sitting in my camera bag for weeks they are still ready to go and keep me going for a good while. I do a lot of flash photography and these things will last me at least two weeks worth of jobs, if not longer before needing a recharge. I have about six packs in my camera bag and use them on rotation - when one set dies - i take it out to recharge and then put in a new set in the flashes and go again!! Recharge usually takes a night and a bit so plan in advance or have spares like me and you will never be out of power - awesome batteries..

Not Sanyo, not sealed, but work OK
2 stars as:*These are Panasonic Eneloops, not Sanyo as advertised - many people would buy these as the old Sanyo branded ones have a better reputation*They are not in original sealed packagingThey also seem a bit marginal on capacity using my C9000 charger, but I am not that familiar with how eneloops normally behave. They do meet minimum spec (1900mah) after 16h 0.1C charge and 400mA discharge - but only just.They do appear to be genuine Eneloop, and made in Japan. They seem to hold their charge like an LSD NiMH shouldThe seller did offer to replace with Sanyo Eneloops after I contacted them but I kept these as I needed them and they're working OKOverall I expected better for the money

Great batteries!
I like these batteries, they hold their charge when not being used, and appear to have plenty of capacity when in use. I am throwing out most of my other brands of rechargable AA batteries as most of them are rubbish compared with these. I recommend these to my friends when/if the topic comes up. They are great!

Well worth it
I like these batteries. I have tried other rechargeables that have failed after two or three charges. Not these. Good product and well worth it for the time they last. Recommended
