**Q: is it made of plastic**
A: I JUST received my cookie cutter kit today!The cookie cutter, itself, top and sides are made of a light-weight metal, but, seem to be sturdy enough, if your not rough with it.  The "cookie push out parts" are plastic, as are the letters, but they seem to made out of a very good quality, hard plastic.  As was mentioned by some other reviewer, the letters are small, but, for my purposes, they are a perfect size - a tad less than 3/8"ths, or, ~ 4mm.   (I do not intend to use the cookie cutter, itself that much - I bought it for the letters.)

I saw this on a cooking blog and searched the net to find it.  I was so pleased to find it on Amazon.It is a little fiddlely to set up, (about the same as a kids printing kit really), and you do need to snap off all of the little bits of plastic where the letters are joined.  However, once done it is very easy to use, and works a dream.  I only wish the cutter was a little smaller though!  That said I love it and would recommend it to anyone who loves baking!
