collet review
Efficient Performance for Puller ApplicationsThis collet functions well and fits securely, making it an excellent choice for use with a puller. Installation and removal are straightforward, and it grips firmly without issues. Overall, a reliable and effective component that delivers as expected.

Works great for normal rifle profile bullets.
Far better than the "whack-a-doodle" hammer jobs. Get the right collet and the job couldn't be easier. There is one drawback to collet style pullers. They can't get a good grip on bullets that have no shaft foward of the case mouth, i.e. wad-cutters and deeply seated round-nose bullets. Anything resembling a normal rifle bullet profile will work great. You'll still need the "whacker" for the rest.

It works as advertised
It works, but.... Unlike with reloading dies, the ram of your reloader can't be full stroked up to end of travel. The correct size shell holder is put on the ram of your reloader. The correct collet is put into the cam lock bullet puller and the puller is screwed into the die holder at the top of the reloader. I screw it in until it just protrudes out of the threads. The cartridge that you want to pull the bullet from is put in the shell holder. Then, slowly raise the ram until you can feel the collet just touch the case neck. Next, lower the ram a fraction of an inch and lock the cam onto the bullet. Finally, lower the ram to pull the bullet. It works, but you have to pay attention to get the bullet just right in the collet. Too far in and you will collapse the case neck down. Not far enough and the bullet will slip. Good luck!
