CP Electronics GIPDC/B 'green-i' PIR Movement Sensor Light Switch

Works very well, but took a time to set upThis product needs a 9 volt battery to work. However it doesn't need a neutral it simply replaces the light switch.The light switch needs to be positioned in a fairly light place for best results otherwise the light will come on when not required even if the light sensitivity is set to its lowest setting.This has proved to be a great benfit for the kitchen when you enter with your hands full of dishes etc and the kitchen is dark and like magic the light comes on by its self!

No complaints at all about how well this works. It is very easy to fit.A round of applause ot the manufacturers for giving good, easily understood instructions. The quality of manufacture is A1 (as opposed to many cheaper items on the market).The wiring instructions were easy to follow (as opposed to many cheaper Chinese models on the market.For me, this is an ideal item.If there is a problem, then it is the fact that it is made expensive because it does more than the act of simply switching on when motion is detected.I didn't need the facility, nor the additional gubbins, of a dimmer and a remote control to dim the lights. I only wanted a simple motion detector light to switch on the light whenever I entered the stairway with handfuls of items. ( I had made the error of getting a cheaper Chinese alternative that was of such poor manufacture that it couldn't be wall-mounted).This is a Rolls Royce of a product, with a Ford price. I only wanted a reliable bicycle (chuckle).

Can't get it to work on my two-way circuit even though it appears to state that it will. Too expensive to get an electrician in. Tweeted the manufacturer (C P Electronics) for advice, but no response.

Extremely disappointed with purchase. Parts fell off as soon as box opened so useless piece of kit. Informed manufacturer weeks ago - still no action torefund the cost.

Not cheap but solves the problem of not having a negative lead in the switch. Works very well.

only used for 2 weeks but did not work when first installed as the battery supplied was flat but working great.

bought to replace one that we have had for many years. easy to fit ,great for hard to reach light switch, no lights left on when not needed.

As any one who has replaced a light switch will know, the most annoying problem you are likely to encounter is that the back box is too shallow. So it came as a great relief to find that it came supplied with a spacing collar and a surprise that a nine volt battery was provided.As others have commented it can be fiddly to set up however a good starting point would be to have the arrows pointing outwards to the nine and three positions of the clock.Ironically, considering that it was bought because i left lights on, the problem I now have is remembering not to turn the lights off.
