My boys love this series. Good mix of fun and adventure. Slightly scary, but not too much for my children, and they love the characters

Recommended by a guy in the most amazing Gosh Comics bookstore in London’s Berwick Street. It’s a great step on for a Marvel obsessive.

Funny and engaging, great for reluctant readers, particularly boys. The 12 year olds in my class loved it.

My Grandson read it three times, almost back to backso he enjoyed it.

If you're reading this review then I'm guessing that you've never read a 'Bone' book before. Well, I can safely say that you don't know what you're missing. Even though I'm a guy of a certain age (probably too old to be reading comic books, that's for sure!) I absolutely loved this book. Unlike a lot of graphic novels there are no super heroes, it's not dark and it's not set in some grotty city. This is much more Walt Disney than Frank Miller and make no mistake. However, don't let that lull you into a false sense of security. The characters are well defined and endearing, the plot is wacky and captivating and the comedy...I actually laughed out loud on several occasions. This is the start of an epic that will have you gripped until the end. So, if you're a fan of fantasy but want to try something a little different then this is definitely what you're after. Buy it now!

This should have done for the grapic novel what Harry Potter has done for childrens books. ie, Made them accessible to everyone. This is a perfect book. Stunning art, wonderful three dimensional charectors and a (somewhat) original storyline. The art is exquisite, the writing is sharp and proffesional and the fact that the series is still continueing and still fantastic almost 10 years later is beyond belief. A classic in any genre.

Many, many moons ago I started to read Bone and never got round to finishing it. Since getting a kindle, I've been trying to catch up on some of the funny books I used to read. I'm glad I rediscovered Bone. This has me laughing out loud and staring dreamily at th gorgeous art by Jeff Smith. Now, I'm all on-board again and desperate to finish off the other volumes. A definite must read.
