We originally bought this one for $800 but then saw down to $529 so we returned and ordered the one for $529. That said, at $800, it was our choice based on weight of scooter and weight limit. Hubby is 265 lb and this scooter had no problem hauling him. Liked the 2 battery option - used one all day zipping around resort turn swap out next morning. It was great at airport (Keep batteries with you in carryon) - ride right up to plane and gate check (take battery off). The seat comes off and we took strap to keep it shut/closed up (both parts went at gate check). The other part folds up (see pic), so quite compact. Didn’t weigh but it’s less than 40 lb all parts. Make sure when you check in to get a tag and then once thru security go to airline customer service desk by gate to get the gate check tag (need new one for each leg of trip). He could def go faster than I could walk! We strongly recommend. We told everyone at the resort who asked so the boost in sales last week or so prob thanks to us! My mom ordered one, too - appreciate size and weight so I can easily put in her car when we go run errands. Review: Perfect scooter - This is a wonderful scooter. I get so many compliments on it. We like it because of the size. It’s lightweight and easy to get in and out of our car. There is a learning curve to it though. It does not stop on its own when to let go of the throttle. It has a hand brake you have to remember to squeeze. So going down hills is a little tricky because you have to hold the brake the whole time and easy yourself down. It only came with one battery but it holds two. One in use mode and there is a place to hold the spare. I bought this for use at amusement parks. So far I have not had to use the second battery. We highly recommend this scooter. So very easy to use and travel with . **Q: How well does this ride on typical residential carpet flooring?** A: It will be fine. My home is all tile with area rugs. No problem at all. I did however scratch up a few baseboards. Nothing a painter can’t fix. If you need it. Use it. I also took it to an event that was all concrete. It did what it was supposed to do. **Q: How are the breaks? Do they stop well?** A: The brakes work fine when I needed to stop the scooter. **Q: What do you recommend if you would like to use this in an airport and then take it on a plane?** A: It should be fine as long as you let the airline know beforehand. So lightweight I can easily pick it up and put it in my truck by myself. Easily disassembles to fit in a car. This thing zooms! It is super fast and fits in tight spaces. Battery life is great and charges quickly.
