If I use gromet curains on the outside rod and shear curtains on the inside, will the gromet curtains slide without moving the shear curtains?

I wish I could answer this but I did not get this curtain rod. I ordered it and it was not what I ordered when it arrived. So sorry!

How do u take curtains down to wash ? Do u have to un-install the rods to take curtains down ?
