Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 (500ml)

This item was as good as it said in the description and works great on rust metal was very happy with this, got another one to use when i need it .

Applied to the rust on the under side of my Rover cleared it completely and then sprayed over with their wax product, perfect looks like new - no mess no need to clean off following application and then seal coat

Prfect for treating rust.

Seems to the job very well. Easy to use. Haven’t see a product from these guys that isn’t too notch yet. Also give a really good shake before use. I ended up with a quite a thick layer of semi solid at the bottom of the container. I think my own fault for not shaking it enough.

I bought this to ensure a caravan chassis which is steel square tube would remain free from corrosion the hydrate 80 was supplied quickly from the supplier reading the instructions you need to decamp a amount you think you need of hydrate 80 into a non metal container to ensure no used fluid will contaminate the fresh. I used a plastic container and used a paint brush but this product can be sprayed the method clean any spiders and dust away smooth any possible corrosion then paint on hydrate 80, wait 30 to 40 minutes before applying second coat then wait 24hours before giving a final coat of paint this allows the barrier to be formed I used hammerite paint, no reaction has happened its worth mentioning to wear eye protection while using, it could cause so serious issues if got into eye this product hydrate 80 gives a good barrier and seems to cover well, ive only used 1/2 of the bottle I used another rust converter and hammerite 5 years ago so hopefully this will last as long if not longer its a bit more expensive than other brands but if it works as intended, will save corrosion issues and costs of repairs in future

Very easy to use, lovely finish and I used it as a primer to paint on top of and it did a great job. Was able to do all suspension components on the car and some of the underside too. I would recommend
