Great Light! Could be a little brighter though.
I've had mine for 6 years now on a fire helmet. It has seen many interior fires without a problem. It's tough and it always works. I especially like that you you can angle the headlamp down. This has helped on numerous occasions when I was trying to start IVs on trauma patients on the side of the road at night. I have 2 very minor complaints. I wish it was brighter. 300 lumens is good but 600 -1000 would be better. However, that's difficult to achieve with AA batteries and high-output rechargeable would greatly increase the price. Other small gripe: the battery pack blocks out my name on the back of my helmet. It hasn't caused any issues that I'm aware of though. Great light! definitely with the money.

Very good light with great flood and great spot beams!
Update: Went to use it at a house fire, room and contents 2nd division, with smoke almost to the floor. Hit the spot switch, nothing. Hit the flood switch, nothing. Mashed both, nothing. Did a fast primary search blind and got bedroom doors shut. After the fire I checked what happened. 1 of the Duracell batteries had leaked. The acid ruined the circuit board. The light no longer works. ================= Volunteer Firefighter and use this as my main personal light for vehicle accident scenes. Having the spot and flood beams coming from 2 separate LED's with their own switch buttons is a great design! The flood is very wide and great for normal scene work. 1 click of the button and it is on "high", 2nd click is "low", 3rd click is "off". The spot beam works the same way and has a tight beam with very good throw. Both beams can be used simultaneously in any combo of off/hi, hi/hi, hi/low, low/hi, low/low, etc. After I had it on my helmet and stepped out to try it that evening I was wondering how to remember which button operates which LED. With my helmet on my right hand operated the righthand LED, which is the spot beam. I used my left hand to operate the lefthand LED, which is the flood... hmmmmm,,,, so, for all the wrench turners out there... righty tighty, lefty loosey! When the headlamp is on your noggin, right button is spot beam (tighty) and left button is flood beam (loosey)! It also has a very bright, yellow LED on the battery pack with a large button beside it. 1 click and the LED comes on "solid", 2nd click and the LED "blinks", 3rd click is off again. I have it on a Cairns 1044 helmet. The band is quite tight (almost too tight) even with the straps extended completely. I don't think I would want to try to fit any door chocks or window punches up there using just this band. It would be to stretched and too narrow for that purpose I think.

Northern Ab Oilfield Approved!
Nice and bright, surpassed my expectations. The magnetic recharge is an awesome idea. Lasts way longer for me than listed. Does tend to slip off my hard hat but I’ve used a couple pieces of double sided gorilla tape to help hold it. Everyone is insanely jealous because of the recharge-ability.

Careful with the strap
***Update*** I reached out to the manufacture (US-based, surprisingly). They are sending me a replacement strap plus a spare. I appreciated their customer service. ***Original review*** I can’t really speak to its use because as I was trying to put it on my helmet, the rubber strap snapped. I had it extended all the way and it still was a struggle getting it on. The strap just snapped. I noticed it was starting to tear on the other side as well. My helmet isn’t big either. I have no idea how they expect it to work on a firefighter helmet like in one of the photos. I reached out to the manufacturer to see if they’d send a replacement strap. If they aren’t able to I’ll be returning it via Amazon even though I steady pitched the packaging.

Good moderately affordable headlamp with hazardous rating
Does what it is supposed to. Fairly basic but better than my ancient hazardous headlamp that started getting dim in just a few hours (it had an incandescent bulb) and moderately priced. I would get it again and I am getting some for coworkers shortly. Notes about this headlamp, not complaints because I would probably buy this again. - It does make the hard hat noticeably heavier but that is because the battery housing is built like a tank (to get the rating I assume) and it has 3 AA batteries. I choose the AA battery model because I can't afford to stop to recharge in the middle of a job and i didn't want to buy two lamps. - the spotlight is still pretty "floodish" and does not project a tight beam but I think that is becasue of the low profile design, it doens't have much room for a lense. - The headband is very tight but I still purchased a few headlamp clips to make sure it doesn't slide off the hardhat.

Great light!
I've had this light for several months now and have been using it 6 nights a a week for 8-12 hours a night. It's super bright and the batteries last for 3 nights with it on full flood for 8-12 hours a night. Great light!
