has anyone bought a lid to use this as a bottle to drink from?

Hi, Sorry, I can't help you out as I wasn't aware you could purchase lids separately. It is a rather wide opening at the top therefore drinking straight from the flask may be a little difficult given the probable flow! Hope you find an answer.

Can anyone tell me how to get lid of to fill it

I had the same problem, the lid was screwed on so tight,I finally got it to turn but then the catch used to open spout to pour wouldn’t line up properly so I sent it back, that was 15 days ago and still not received refund.

How long does boiling water stay hot in this jug? Thanks

Best I have managed is 10 hours. It was still hot enough to make a coffee. Always warm the the jug before filling it with the water/liquid you want to take with you.

Can't get coffee to pour out of spout

Press down the lever on the lid with your thumb and hold it down as you pour
