The lamp was straightforward to fit on the outside wall. Looks very attractive and does its job very well.

Installation is straightforward but the earth connection could be better with a fixed cable to another connector making a four strip not just three .Did this myself and made fitting better,still needed another hand to hold it when making connections,could benefit from a way to hold the weight when doing this .was great to get a lamp included but changed to LED bright white 60 watt as 40 Watts not enough. Looks great up.

I bought this to replace a different make witch failed and so far so good. I have had several lights over the years and did not want to drill yet more holes in the wall, so I shaped part of a decking board to shed water and look attractive with a coating of waterproof paint and fixed it to the existing holes with a cut-out for the wiring which I filled with sealant to protect the wiring. The PIR is quite big but sheltered below the casting and the fitting is quite sheltered but we have horizontal rain in Scotland so will have to see how it goes during the winter but pleased with the operation and looks of the light.

Great quality. It is bright and gives a good coverage. Looks more expensive than it was. Would buy again .

The cable entry is too narrow so the grommet won't fit over the cable and slot into position, leaving it vulnerable to water ingress. the top of the lamp does not seal at all, leaving it vulnerable to water ingress. It's just a matter of time until this stops working.I was very hard to install. the earth connection is useless - the screw is too short to allow you to easily screw over a 1mm earth wire - took about 10 minutes to manage it. And the main body screws are too short - anything other that a totally flat wall you will struggle to get the main unit attached to the base. All just to save a fraction of a penny on costs. What else have they cut corners on. And it doesn't detect immediately when I walk out of the door - I have to step forward to be picked up. Avoid.

This unit seems to be of poor quality, the backplate is tiny and fiddly to make electric connections. Because of its small size the connection block has only 3 terminals therefore you have to wire the Earth cable direct to the unit. The PIR adjustment seems fine regards the length of time the lamp is Illuminated but the detector does not turn off in daylight even though the unit is turned to max. night time. It remains to be seen how long this one will last

I have bought three of these outside lights and every single time the same thing happens:You get to the top of the stepladder 🪜 attach the power cables to the terminals and then attempt go secure the lamp to the housing using the hex bolts provided.The challenge: The hex retaining bolts are too short. They are M3 (3mm dia)x 35mm (length). This leaves zero protruding thread with which to attach the securing nuts! Which is … nuts 🥜The real challenge is that you don’t know that because you assumed they were fit for purpose. But now you are left holding a lamp that you have just found out you cannot attach!The mitigation: ensure your fully thread M3 hex bolts are at least 40mm and probably 42mm long. I have just had to buy my own. Grr! 😖
