FINALLY!! A device that works..., for me.
I have tried a RPI (tricky & unreliable), Asus AC-88U (slow, max 44 MB/s OVPN only) for my VPN. Stumbled upon this and thought I would give it a try. Perfect for me. Connection via Ethernet from my SKY modem/router, enabled VPN client on device (Mullvad), any that supports Wireguard or OVPN (will be slower though) will do and connected to my ASUS router via Ethernet & Bob's your uncle, it works. Speeds from 250 MB/s (using the Asus as the WiFi router) via WiFi up to 450 MB/s via Ethernet. I only have a 500 MB/s line. I am over the moon with this device as it delivers all I need for my house needs. If you are looking for an easy to use and reliable & fast gateway VPN device, this is it.

Great product to allow remote access to security camera
I have security cameras which donโt allow access to recordings without a subscription. With this I can use Tailscale or ZeroTier to access my home network. Fantastic solution without the complication of setting up a VPN, especially if you donโt have a public up address. This solved my problems overnight with only 5 mins to set up once connected to my router and added devices to access home network remotely. I would have preferred the plastic case which was cheaper but not available on Amazon. But the peace of mind being able to return was worth it.

Outstanding Support and 2x Performance Upgrade
I want to start by thanking the GL.iNet support team โ Nora, Riley, and Zoey โ for their excellent service. My Brume 2 was just over 2 years old and unfortunately failed, but the team handled everything very professionally. Troubleshooting was clear and responsive, and the replacement process was smooth and fast. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to sort this out. Performance-wise, Iโm very happy with the device. In my setup, I use it as a dedicated router (routing + DHCP) alongside a managed switch where I handle IGMP snooping, STP, and other network optimisation. With a Deco WiFi 6 mesh and around 100 devices, it performs significantly better than my previous TP-Link ER605: * ER605: ~300โ350 Mbps * Brume 2: ~700+ Mbps (WiFi 6) Overall, a great product backed by excellent customer support. Highly recommended.

Great for price but didnt do what i wanted it to do
Great mini router, user-friendly interface, had issues with the VPN set up, doesn't allow you to load an encrypted VPN token but was fine with off the shelf VPN click/drag

Solid device, even better support
My Brume 2 did brick after almost 2 years due to a firmware upgrade issue, but honestly, GL.iNet support was outstanding โ they guided me through recovery steps and eventually replaced the unit, nearly 2 years after I bought it. That kind of customer service is rare. Aside from the firmware hiccup, the device worked flawlessly and did exactly what I needed it to do. Iโm not put off at all โ Iโll be using the replacement just as much. Great little box with solid features and even better after-sales support.

Fantastic device for travel or access to home network
I have two of these between two locations I need to access. One is setup just for allowing secure external access to the LAN and the other has both wire guard server and client to allow both incoming connections but it also allows me to run TV streaming devices connected via con to a UK home ip address to get iplayer outside of the UK. Highly recommended.

This works perfectly with Proton VPN - after well over 2 years - absolutely reliable, stable......perfect. Better than running a VPN off your router, this thing handles the hard work, requires zip maintenance, is low powered and ....just works.

This thing has Very low power usage, and Excellent performance. It is a very advanced router, without WiFi. It uses 1-2 watts using it as a router. It's very easy to configure with many advanced features. The RAM and Flash memory are unusually large, so you can use it for a network that has a massive number of devices with all kinds of special rules for routing if you like, and it's solid. I looked for years for this kind of device. Finally I found it.

The build quality is good, it's tiny and the power input works with practically any USB C cable and port. The main appeal isn't there though, it's that I like the software Glinet uses, the integration of Adguard home and tailscale functionality (even in Beta you could tinker with it to make it better). Currently using it to tether from my phone and linking it to a wifi router (I know it's not optimal but it's just momentary). I'm still exploring its capabilities, going to try load balancing on 2 WAN connections. In short, for the price of the offer I got it with, it's 5 stars no doubt.
