Amtech E0688 75mm (3") Offset SDS Chisel

Used for 5 minutes then changed to a higher quality dewalt chisel. You only get what you pay for so if its cheap what do you expect. Personally not for me

Bought this to use with SDS to strip plaster off walls and to remove floor tiles in bathroom that had resisted manual removalTurned out to be a great purchase - had the tiles off within two hours and the plaster way quickerHi Slightly down marked the durability as don’t feel the blade is as sharp as I’d have expected after these first uses

It does the job without any problem

I bought this to remove floor tiles in my kitchen, and the thick set below it. Even with my 2.2Joule SDS drill this chisel simply wasn't good enough to take off the thick set tile adhesive. I don't know if that is because you need a REALLY powerful chisel drill, or because the blade isn't sharp enough.I bought a separate narrower (1.5") chisel to remove most of the old tile adhesive, then used this chisel to smooth off the remainder, for which it is fine.It's also good for removing wall tiles and skirting boards - just not up to the task of clearing up floor tiles.

This isn't a bad little tool for tile removal. Care must be taken that you dont dig in too far and damage the wall too much. I wouoldn't reccommend this for taking tiles off plasterboard as it will very easily bust right through and you also get no leverage. It did however perform admirably in removing the floor tiles. Well worth the money if you have a decent sds drill.

This is great solid quality chisel, I've pounding downwards with it, from the moment it got delivered. It's been pummeling through brick, concrete, soil, sand and hitting the odd bit of iron repeatedly all day, staying sharp and fully intact. Its Its well worth the money even for the tough job it was probably never intended for.
