Is the background of the sticker clear? Or white?

Not sure why people are stating "clear" as there is no background. It is 3 pieces that you need to rub onto a surface. Final product only shows the 3 arrows.

Hi, i'm planning to use this sticker indoors on a kitchen cabinet. If needed, how easy is it to remove? Would I have to worry about permanent marks?

I have removed this sticker from a garbage can. It's not difficult just find the right spot life up if you have a sharp finger nail or a razor Be careful.with the razor

I have a painted wood cabinet door which my recycleable bin goes in. Will the sticker "stick" to the wood surface?

I bet it would stick well. I stuck mine onto a "pebbled" textured plastic surface of a Costco lidded bin. I took the risk that it may not stick well since directions advise of putting it on a smooth surface. Our bin is outdoors and this is holding up very well so far.
