I did not realize it is just a cover and a wind block. It fits good. This is our first griddle.

Very nice fit but not truly "hinged"
Hanger brackets are just that, to hold it so you don't have place it somewhere while cooking. I bought this to cut down on oil splatters as much as possible. I'm very satisfied!
