Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Highly informative and invaluable to anyone interested in astronomy. - It's probably a bit late reviewing a guide based on a year that has passed to be honest, however as there is another one published each year I suppose it's relevant to the updated edition. This is an excellent read, concise and informative, with clear illustrations and images showing all aspects of the night sky and every astronomical event for every month of the year. I really can't fault these guides and highly recommend them Review: Very useful book. - I was bought the 2016 issue as a present when I embarked on night sky photography. I have bought a copy every year since. The format has not changed. This is good. It is informative, easy to read and well presented. For anyone interested in night sky photography or just wants to know more about what can be seen in the night sky this is a great, affordable book.

Good for learning about the night sky.
Gives clear charts for the night sky each month. Easy to follow and Gives good information for what can be found in the night sky over a year. As a beginner I found it very accessible and still find it useful now I know a little bit more about the night sky.

Fascinating and informative, telescope not needed.
This is a yearly book that chronicles the going’s on in our tiny bit of the universe that we can see from earth. It’s informative just to read. Or to look UP at the sky, mostly by night but in the day also at things that will astound you. Since the earth orbits the sun, along with the planets. This book informs you month by month of what particular sights you can see and when. Remember the most ancient writings recorded happenings in the ‘heavens’ - (naked eye astronomy). A beginner needs nothing more than to look or a half decent pair of binoculars. Telescopes come from costing a few pounds to full blown professional rigs £++++++++ I would recommend downloading an ‘APP’, Night Sky, Sky Guide, Night Safari or any similar that appeal. Most have a free trail but for full access you need to pay in most. The reason is the book tells you what you can see the question then is, where is it???? These ‘Apps’ will use your phone so you can quickly orientate yourself to find what the book’s telling you is of interest. Saves a lot of frustration. SUPER IMPORTANTLY, just because a book is telling you to look up at things in the sky… NEVER EVER be tempted to LOOK directly at THE SUN, you will blind yourself!!!!! Solar observation is interesting and rewarding, BUT uses super specialised kit that in many cases is more expensive that night telescopes.

Bought as a gift for my brother and he loved it. Found it very useful and enjoyed telling his nieces/nephews what he found out and showing them what’s in the sky.

The book arrived on time as expected, but the book was was damaged dut to poor packaging, It was just throwing into a box with the rest of other products, I believe this happen in an Amazon facility where they gather orders together, i hope in the future they will handle books with more care.
