Croydex Translucent Universal Shower Door Seal Kit, 1000mm

This is a fantastic seal for narrow gaps. I had a bespoke glass shower door and screen made for a property which I own and when the door and screen were installed the gap at the bottom of the door was very small - varied from one side to the other - 8mm down to 2mm - think badly fitted by contractor. Anyway, was a bit dubious about 'sticking seal to door, but after the initial 'stick' completed it's holding well and keeping the water where it should be kept - in the shower!! There was a 'bubble clip on' seal attached to the door previously, but this was too thick with the result that the door was not closing properly, when forced shut it was loosening the hinges on the wall, and it was leaking continuously. Now I have a tight fitting seal which keeps the water in the shower and doesn't leak. I have bought 2 more kits for when this seal needs to be changed as it is the only thing which I found to work for my situation! Thanks Croydex!

product comes curled into a circle. This results in problems straightening it out. Low tack tape WILL NOT HOLD IT IN PLACE, neither will duct tape. the excercise was a miserable failure.

Purchased this in translucent to use as a rim around a wet walk in shower area to contain splash and water run off in trying to avoid wetting the whole bathroom. I did use copious amounts of translucent silicone to stick it rather than the little fraction of adhesive provided with the item to make it really functional.

Product was required to solve a problem and with a well known supplier like Croydex it did exactly what was required, only criticism is from a user point of view the material would have been better packed packed 'flat'. It was necessary to lay it on a flat surface weighted down to make sure that it 'stuck' properly to the shower door.

This works, i used some silicon sealant rather than that supplioed: did the trick, cracking

The seal itself works OK but the sachet of glue it comes with is useless, it just turned into a soggy mess causing the seal to drop off! I re-attached the seal with some proper silicone sealant and it's now fine.

This product was disappointing. The curl in the seal cause by it being wound up in the packaging means that it doesn't lie flat on the shower door, but needs to be held in place by the sealant. Get the sealant a bit wrong (as I did) and the seal comes away.

The strip itself seems OK. The adhesive used to attach it to the shower is supplied in a small sachet which is very difficult to apply. After following the instructions to attach the strip to the shower, I found the adhesive had proved totally useless and had failed to hold at several points. Luckily I had bathroom sealant which I then used to attach the strip. So far it seems to be holding. I would suggest you should factor in the cost of an extra waterproof adhesive to the cost of this item, as the adhesive supplied seems totally unfit for purpose.
