Will this bulb work pull string switch

Mine work off a conventional switch outside the bathroom so as long as a pull switch is properly wired in yes it should work as the string operates the switch not the lamp. If the switch is working the lamp should come on.

My original bulb is a 16W. Can i replace it with a 28W for increased brightness?

Yes I would think that would be okay as long as it is a Square 4 Pin Bulb
