Sturdy and Substantial. Beautiful and a Great Value!
I got a set of fancy Japanese kitchen knives for Father's Day and was looking to upgrade from the plastic cutting boards I'd used before. After a bit of research I decided that I wanted a large board that I could stow away when not in use, and an end-grain pattern. I looked at multiple options on Amazon, and this board caught my eye.For the price (at least a third less expensive than other boards I'd compared against), I wasn't expecting it to be such nice quality! It has a rich, medium-brown tone that looks quite sumptuous. Add a little board butter (you can make your own! 4-parts food-grade mineral oil; 1-part beeswax, by volume - combine together using a double boiler), and the colors and the end-grain contrast really pop, as well as protecting the wood and making clean-up a snap. It's large enough to accommodate everything I want to cut (usually many different kinds of veggies to sauté for Sunday breakfast), and wipes easily for preparing other items. I had debated the 1.5" thickness of this board vs. 2" of other boards I looked at, and in the end am glad that I got this thickness. For its size (20x15), extra thickness would just add unnecessary weight. I haven't yet gotten out the cleaver and really gone after frozen meats or chicken bones, but 1.5" already seems substantial enough that it could take anything I gave it.The first picture shows the board how I got it (right) vs. with some board butter rubbed in (left); and the second picture is after a full coat. Don't forget this step with any wooden cutting board! The mineral oil and beeswax help protect the wood from drying out and (eventually) splitting, as well as helping seal up any cuts to the wood and making clean-up easier. Give it some more any time it starts to look dry (I've probably been giving mine a coat every 2-3 weeks of regular use), and this board is quality to last several lifetimes.

Great price for great boards
I bought both the medium and large boards to replace an old splitting edge grain board on a chance as they hadn't gotten any reviews yet. I wanted a large one for multiple cuts of meat or a large cut like a port shoulder or brisket and a smaller one for steaks. These have not disappointed. The wood is not too hard to where they wear on my knives but not too soft to where I can see every cut. The mixed patterning also makes them look great. I oil them about once a month depending on use and wax them once every 2-3 months. If you like sending pictures of your barbeque conquests to your friends to make their mouths water and want great looking, durable boards to put your finished cooks on as well as having a sexy backdrop - then these are the boards for you!

Beautiful cutting board!
So far I love this cutting board! It's large, it's attractive, and does the jobs it's intended to do. I oil it with food grade mineral oil and it stays looking beautiful. I store it vertically on it's side, as recommended to avoid warping, and I do believe this board is going to remain beautiful, functional, and last for years to come!

Durable Teak Cutting Board
This cutting board is not only amazing but it's beautiful too. I love the thickness, I mean 1.5" is really nice for a cutting board. I'm pretty sure that I will not have to ever buy another one. It has a really nice juice trough that runs all the way round the edge. The trough is wide and sanded very smooth. There are hand holds on either side that are just right to be able to carry it. The instructions say to oil it every 4 to 6 weeks, and that will be happening, because I plan on taking very good care of this cutting board. I'm thinking of ordering one for my oldest son, he loves to cook :)

Amazing cutting board
When you look at reviews for better made, higher quality cutting boards, you will find good and bad reviews no matter what make and type of cutting board you are looking at. I took a chance on this board and let me tell you, this thing is awesome. It is very well made. There are no flaws. It arrive well packaged. The first thing I did was wipe it down and oil it with food grade mineral oil. I have now used my board probably 30 times and oiled it probably 4 times and it looks amazing! No warping, cracking, or spitting. I'm very impressed with this board.

Beautiful but a few rough spots. UPDATED
The media could not be loaded. This board is gorgeous, but there were some rough spots along the bottom of the juice groove. Didn't notice until trying to rub off the wax, then bits of towel were caught. I rubbed it smooth with sme fine sandpaper, then oiled and waxed again. Used the Walrus oil and wax set bought here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MTQ9RQMI will use for a while then come back and update as to whether or not it warps. I'm hoping regular oiling and waxing will prevent this from happening.UPDATE 9/25/2023Was extremely diligent in following the directions on the oil and wax i bought. Conditioned my new, beautiful cutting board immediately upon receipt a couple of weeks ago. It had performed well, with any liquid beading up. Did a new application of wax yesterday morning. Our margarita machine wasn't properly emptied yesterday afternoon, so the island counter was flooded with melted ice during the night, seeping under the cutting board. Imagine my horror to see my beautiful cutting board all bowed up!!! I don't know which product to blame the most but I did put a lot of trust in the oil and wax. I'm going to try to press the cutting board back down, but I am extremely disappointed that it wasn't able to withstand the water damage, especially after two treatments of wax.
