Delicious!
I hate trying new fuel on my long runs, but these were delicious. They tasted exactly like banana baby food from the jar, and because I already like that it was delicious. I ended up using them for my marathon and felt the same energy I got from Gu or HoneyStingers without the sticky gut feeling.. My kids like these for snacks! Easily to digest too! I'll continue to buy these.

Almost right
I was really excited to find this gel because a lot of the gels out there cause GI upset on my longer runs. This did not, and it seemed to do the trick well in terms of energy level. My complaint is that the consistency is thick almost like baby food, and it takes some work to get it down. I will probably use these intermittently along with the UCan gels which are more of a smoothie/liquid consistency.

Strong banana taste
These don't seem to have a gel-like consistency, more like puree. The banana flavor is quite strong, so if you're not a fan of banana, it might not be the best choice. I'm also a bit skeptical about the nutritional value as it seems off to me. I didn't notice any extra energy during my run, but perhaps it could be different during a marathon or longer workout.

Decent taste and texture
Quick warning: They messed up printing the box on this one. Under nutritional information it lists a 100g serving as 70 calories and 16g of carbs, and a "serving" (ie: packet) as 212 calories and 46g of carbs. These are reversed: One serving is 70 calories. They also appear to have messed up on some of the information, since the one column reads 46g of sugar and 4g of fiber for a combined total of 23 g of carbs...which is mathematically impossible.Printing issues aside, this tastes exactly as described: a mix of coconut and banana. I haven't had energy gels in a few years. I have tried a number of them, most notable the "gu" variety, and they've all been sickeningly sweet and tasted very poor. This wipala brand is also very sweet, but it's not gross like the other kinds I've had. It has a thick, gel texture like a thickened jelly or jam. It's easy to squeeze out and highly palatable (if you like sweetened coconut and banana flavor). Definitely good for some quick energy, since it's mostly just sugar. There is nothing "special" in this for energy except the sugar, though that can be said of a lot of other gels. Some of the more advanced energy gels have a mixture of fast-digesting and slow-digesting carbohydrates. In my opinion, it's probably not going to make a big difference for most people, and palatability takes precedence. The packets also look pretty sturdy for sporting events. My only concern is that the ingredients contain only "banana puree, coconut water, and potassium sorbate". The potassium sorbate is just a preservative, but it looks and tastes like there's more than just banana puree and coconut water in it. It's definitely been sweetened, but what it's been sweetened with is not listed. That, along with other printing and math issues on the label would make me a little concerned about what's actually in it. The labelling clearly didn't pass any kind of good quality control. I only took off one star because it's probably just sweetened banana puree, and probably some pectin or other thickening agent that's missing. If they got these issues fixed I'd add the 5th star back on. I don't think this is anything sinister, just poor labelling on the part of the manufacturer. I also like the lack of caffeine.

Convenient Carbs from Ecuador
This product provides a convenient source of carbs along with potassium and a little fiber and magnesium. There are only three ingredients: Banana Puree, Coconut Water and Potassium sorbate. It's basically a portable banana+ and tastes just like you would expect from these ingredients (sweet banana flavor).I will keep these on hand to throw in the gym bag for whenever I need some carbs to keep me going.Interestingly, this is made in Ecuador which is one of the world's top banana producers.
