Octonauts - GUP-D Sub & Barnacles

The gup is well made and child proof, and Barnacles in his unique divers suit is nice. But the tube that connects the Gup to Barnacles suit got lost straight away. Their is place under the gup for the tube to be tidied away and not lost. The button on the gup to send air through the tube into barnacles suit so he can rise/sink in water works quite well and is fun for the kids at bath-time. the net that attaches to the front of the gup does not stay in because of this tube arrangement the net fits in too loosely and just falls out. But its not that big of a deal, and is a must for my childs collection.

well made compared to the recent additions to the octonauts toys which in comparison are still expensive and much more tacky plastic, likely to crack easier. this however is well made, lasts well for a 1yr old who borrows it from his 6 year old brother! Great fun and it does work. great for octonauts lovers who can learn so much from the show.

Not worth the money

It's a good little toy and quite well made but like most of these things too expensive for what you get, considering the cost of producing it. Still, if you have a child like mine who's mad about the Octonauts you tend to pay up and grin and bare it! Someone is making a lot of money out this though. My son loves all the Octonauts toys and plays with them a lot so from that point of view it's not money wasted.

despite only being a few bits to this toy, my son (4 years) loves it. Has spent hours with it, and we haven't even had it in the bath yet. BUT he is a huge octonauts fan, and has wanted an octonaut toy for ages. Well worth the money.

My little boy loves this item, hence the rating i have given. However we tried it in the bath and its a bit pricey for what it actually does. But its great for stimulating his imagination, he can now play along with numerous recordings we have on the TV series

My son already had the fisher price gup d with legs, but asked for this one because it resembles gup d on when its gliding through the water. All of the other gups we had dried out very quickly, which is useful when my octonauts mad son wants to play with them straight out of bath. However the captain Barnacles and tubing seem to stay wet for days. There is no way to take the diving suit off to dry out the inside. If we're not careful I can see it going mouldy and ending up in the bin which is a shame.That said my son is very pleased with it, but I'm thinking of discouringing him to take this particular gup in the bath, and take his other easier drying ones instead.

Hugely disappointed in this toy. When my son played with it and bumped it against the side of our cast iron bath, the paint came off the toy and left marks on the bath which I now can't remove. After only two weeks, virtually all the paint has come off the headlights - the toy is just not robust enough for even the gentlest child. I know you will probably buy this anyway (because you probably have a child who is also obsessed with Octonauts like mine) but don't be disappointed when you get very little for your money. Boo, Mattel, I expected better from you!

Conforme à mes attentes

Das war ein Geschenk für einen kleinen Jungen, der sich genau das gewünscht hatte. Lieferung war ohne Probleme und das Spielzeug war von der Qualität auch überzeugend.

I bought almost the entire set of Octonauts toys for my nephew for his birthday and my sister tells me he plays with these toys for HOURS! He loves them, they are great and they are made very well! Some of the toys can be played in the bath, you just have to make sure you read the box before putting it in the bath. I highly recommend these toys.

I miei bambini sono dei fans scatenati degli octonauti, quindi gli ho regalato questi pesonaggi per Natale. Sono belli, robusti, di ottima fattura e utilizzabili in acqua. Anche le grosse dimensioni li rendono dei giocattoli di grande successo ma mai troppo ingombranti. tempi di consegna rispettati e imballo buono.

Unser Sohn (3 1/2 Jahre alt) ist "Oktonauten-Hardcore-Fan" und daher landete dieses Boot zeitgleich mit dem Oktopod unterm Christbaum. Die Freude war riesengroß, unser Kleiner spielt ausgiebig damit - auch in der Badewanne. Die Funktionen bei den Oktonauten sind sehr reduziert, was sehr angenehm ist. Soll heißen: kein überflüssiger technischer Schnick-Schnack, keine nervenden Geräusche, keine Batterien, nichts das ablenkt, nur reines Kinder-Spiel - wie erfrischend und schön! Gibt es heute ja nicht mehr allzu oft .... Qualitätiv sehr gut, alle Oktonauten-Spielzeuge (wir haben seit rund 4 Monaten noch ein paar mehr) halten einer "Dauer-Bespielung" leicht stand, auch Runterfallen u.ä. macht nichts aus. Sehr robust, das hatten wir anfangs nicht vermutet, da doch alles im Grunde nur Plastik ist. Das führt aber leider auch diesem einen Punkt Abzug: für so viel Plastik wird auch überdimensional viel Geld verlangt. Die Oktonauten sind nicht wirklich preiswert, wir finden die Preise dafür ziemlich überzogen. Aber: was will man machen, wenn der Kleine so viel Freude daran hat? Darauf wird wohl spekuliert, denn sonst würde man es nicht kaufen (wollen). Insgesamt aber ein sehr schönes Spielzeug, da es wirklich die Phantasie anregt und nicht nur Vorgegebenes wiederkaut.
