I'm confused how to use this, is it bleach or toner or both? do I just mix with developer like 20 vol or 30 vol or do I need to add bleach as well?

I love this stuff. I always use it with my bleach it saves having to tone after. Mix your bleach up and add literally just add a 10p size splash of the cool additive to the bleach. Be careful not to add to much as it can stain the hair purple. The more you use it the more your get to know how much you want to  use. I wouldn’t be without. Not many people know how to us this and I have heard the suppliers are discontinuing it because it’s not used as much. I really hope it doesn’t because it gives off fantastic results. I use it with L’Oréal Studio blond 9 and L’Oréal oil developer. Good luck and I hope this has helped you with your question. I’ve used it in my mix as all over bleach and as highlights.

Can I add this to the bleach for root application?

Yes this is a brilliant product Jessica. I add it to my bleach and developer and it takes out all orange/yellow tones so there is no need for a separate toner.

Might be a silly question but i want to make sure i do my hair right. So i use the bleach powder and developer together, can i add the toner to that?

Yes you do I add 30ml and my hair comes up platinum everything. After bleaching I sometimes use the Ice toner with 2% gives the hair a lovely blue grey blonde tone
