I bought this after stumbling across it while looking for a canine toothbrush. My vet had advised at my dog’s annual checkup that he needed a scale and polish under general anaesthetic, but he’s only three and I don’t like them having anaesthetics unless it’s absolutely necessary. The alternative was going to be trying a toothbrush, although I didn’t know how he’d take to it as I’ve never used one with him before so when I saw this I thought it was worth a punt, but in all honesty was fully expecting to have to revert to plan A and buy a toothbrush later. Not a bit of it; three weeks in and his teeth are already much cleaner than before, and getting better every day. The best part is there’s no stress or upset for either of us; just sprinkle a bit on his food using the included measuring spoon and that’s it! It doesn’t smell at all and it hasn’t made any difference to him eating his food; I don’t think he’s even noticed, tbh. Price point is great too; I bought the 200g tub and you get a lot while using not very much according to the advised dosage; I reckon it will last about two months, so all round well worth the money - and for me it’s already paying back in spades as I don’t have an expensive vet bill, either! If you’re sceptical on trying this, please believe me and try it, your dog (and your purse!) really will thank you - and yes, I am a genuine customer and haven’t been paid for this review, I just like to give credit where it’s due and maybe save some other little doggies the stress of unnecessary anaesthetics!

First impressions are solid. Coming from the more expensive popular blue-lid brand this seems just as good, but cheaper. My dog's breath is fresher, he likes the product and devours his food with it sprinkled on top, it's easy to use, has a nice coarse granule look rather than powder, and time will tell if it helps with the plaque on his teeth. 4 stars not 5 as the scoop was missing from the tub.

It really does work, I’m amazed! Bruno is picky so I was convinced he wouldn’t eat his food with this in it but he couldn’t tell! 10/10

We bought this for our Cocker Spaniel. At first, we were pleased with the results but, having now sued a full tub, there doesn't seem to be as much improvement as we'd hoped for. Our dog still has some staining on her teeth so I guess we'll have to find another solution.

Buggalugs Plaque Off was recommended by a receptionist in my vet’s practice and I’ve recommended it to several other people since. We rescued our wonderful golden retriever at 17 months and he had been a bit neglected - underweight, a dull coat and teeth that were half covered in tartar. About 8-10 weeks after starting to add it to our pup’s food, we noticed that the plaque had largely gone - only about 20% remained. Now, 4 months on, it has completely gone and he has the most beautiful teeth. It really does do what it says on the tin!!! I wish I had taken before and after photos but I’m afraid I didn’t 🙈 I would recommend this to anyone - and I do!!!

My boys have this every evening on their dinner. They have great teeth and use this and a toothpaste. This definitely helps with their oral health over all. A little goes a long way. Wouldn’t go without it. We love bugalugs

Early days yet but already seen a difference in their breath. Also, yesterday I noticed one of the dogs licking inside their mouth and a piece of plaque had come off. So I am hoping that this is a sign of more to come. Recommended.

My dachshund loves it and his breath is great. His teeth are really clean. I just had him at the vet and they said his teeth do NOT need cleaning which is remarkable for this breed. Jake is 4 years old. I just acquired a two-year-old doxie with a plaque and started her on this today. We will see how it goes. I highly recommend giving it a try. All dogs' systems are different. We feed a raw, balanced diet, but kibble-fed dogs may have a different outcome. We have now gone through two bottles and I am very happy Our Foster dog with the tarter build up is looking much better. Her gums are less inflamed and looking healthy and we were able to chip off the plaque buildup on her canines with just our fingernails. She is looking much better. At her vet appointment, we will see if she needs a cleaning but I doubt it now when it was a pretty sure thing when we got her. I highly recommend it.

I was very sceptical when buying it. My golden retriever is 3 and I noticed that her teeth were very dirty. I had never previously cleaned or brushed her teeth. So I gave this product a go. There is a tiny spoon included. I was giving her one spoon in the morning and evening by sprinkling over her dry food. Went through a bottle in around a month and her teeth are back to complete white. I highly recommend this product.

I’ve been putting this on both of my dog’s breakfast every day for months and it’s been doing a phenomenal job in whitening and cleaning off the plaque. No adverse side affects to report. Order this for your dogs.

It works. Helps with plaque and my dog love it. You have to use it consistently to see the result but def works.

Easy to use but not especially effect on breath
