Wolf-Garten WKM Multi-Change Pond Net

Worth the money. Before buying this net I bought what turned out to be a totally useless gadget for sucking debris from the bottom of a fish pond, using the pressure of the water mains. Save your money if you're tempted to buy the gadget. I decided to use the Wolf-Garten pond net to "trawl" the bottom of the pond and in this way I removed a lot of plant debris and silt that had accumulated there over the years. The Wolf-Garten net is well made and very strong. It joins other Wolf-Garten tools that I bought in recent years. Remember to buy a Wolf-Garten pole, if you don't have one already. Different Wolf-Garten tools use this pole.

I have a big water lily in my pond and ted to get blanket weed, all of which creates much 'fluffy' debris in the water at this time of the year - this net was brilliant at removing it, and I have high hopes that it will help deal with blanket weed later on. It is strong (wet debris can be very heavy!) and the net is just the right mesh - having scooped up assorted stuff, a quick 'swirl' round gathers it into a loose ball ready to dump into bucket. Ace.

Wolf-Garten products are not cheap, but they are normally of good quality, and last a long time.However, I had to replace my previous Wolf-Garten WKM Multi-Change Pond Net, because it fell apart, which I bought in September 2020.With the help of the Wolf-Garten Telescopic Handle, I use the pond net to remove Blanket Weed, from my 6m x 5m x 1.5m pond. I have found that Blanket Weed is impossible to kill off completely, or to stop it growing. Chemical treatments and Barley Straw are expensive, a waste of money, and don't work, despite what the manufacturers say. The more of the weed that I remove, the less that grows.Rubbing the net along the floor of my rubber pond liner, to collect the weed and leaf debris, has worn away the front edge of the net, and the stitching was also damaged, so the whole thing fell apart.To prevent this happening to the new one, I have used a length of Silicone Tube 6mm ID X 10mm OD, which I cut down along the length of one side, into a C shape, that push-fits over the net and the metal frame. I had to use some Araldite, on each of the corners, to keep it in place, but it is now fully protected, and will hopefully last a long time.I have some other strong netting, from another pond net I purchased, but the handle was too weak to take the weight of the Blanket Weed, and I will fit that to the original pond net frame. An idea that I wish I had thought of, before I bought a replacement Wolf-Garten Pond Net. C'est la vie.

Obviously this product is no use without the handle and these are the only purchases I have made to date. No doubt I will add to my inventory of Wolf-Garten gardening tools as and when necessary. A simple but excellent invention; which for anyone buying their gardening tools for the first time is a no brainer!

Very useful for clearing rubbish from canal, long reach combined with Wolf extending long pole. Strong and cleans easily. Good size, not too bulky to store or heavy when full at long reach.

Excellent piece of kit. Just used for clearing the winters muck out of the pond and has coped admirably. Might well be able to lift a full load of sludge without problems except I wouldn't be able to raise it out of the pond. Used it with an extra long handle with no problems.

I got his as it click into the existing pole I have product is well built but the net it’s self has split already in multiple places sadly

Well I can't use it at the moment, maybe its my fault as I did not realise it does not come with thr handle, if I buy the handle thrn thr whole product has cost me neatly £50 I would not usually pay that much for a pond net, so it better be worth it, I wonder how many more people have ordered this thinking it comes with the handle, its no use without it us it? Not particularly happy about this, think they should say NOT WITH HANDLE.. Order seperately.. tut tut
