Worked fine for my application, but..
I used this to remove a metal top from a receiver that was hard to remove without bending or scratching the top. It had sufficient pulling force for my application. Bit of you were going to pull a heavier load, I’m not sure it could pull 50 pounds. You’d have to be sure it was a very straight pull. This is probably the case for the various manufacturers of magnets.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this magnet to try out magnet fishing. The reviews I read about it were pretty good. If it comes near anything that it will attach to, it will do it with power. Have not tried it in the water yet, so for now I will give it a 5, and hope it stays that way… will post after the real test.
