Alpaca Select KUSI 4 Ply Hand-Dyed Knitting Wool Yarn Colour 16 Campanula " 2 Skeins"

This yarn is 50% alpaca and 50% acrylic, and arrives in 2 skeins of 50g each. It's lovely and soft and really nice to work with. I knitted a pair of bed socks, ladies size 6 (uk) using 3mm needles and had 20g left over from each skein. The socks are very warm, but I'm not sure how hard wearing they will be. Time will tell.The colours are a bit lighter than they appear on screen, but are still lovely. I did find that the colour changes are quite short, so this is definitely more of a variegated yarn than a self-striping yarn. As another reviewer mentioned, it does shed quite a bit, so not great for a scarf. I suppose that's the natural fibre element. Not a problem for socks though.You absolutely must wind this into balls before using it, otherwise you will end up in a massive tangle, so bear that in mind. I was pleasantly surprised to find there were no joins or knots in either of the skeins I received. I would buy this again.

Absolutely rubbish. Not for knitting at all!!!

This is lovely yarn.....so nice and soft and lovely colours. Only 3 stars though as when knitted up it sheds fibres everywhere! Can’t wear the scarf I made because of this.

Pleasantly surprised. Dont usually by yarn from here but a very soft yarn in a gorgeous colour. Will be using it for socks.

This was excellent value. I knitted a pair of short socks with it - it just stretched lwhich are very warm and comfortable.
