Exactly as advertised
Excellent product but comes unassembled and does require some skill to put together.

Solid
The chair is not ovely easy to assemble, recommend not tightening anything until all screws align. The wood itself is hard but not sure what specific type it is. Do not overtighten. Definately needs a soft cushion for the seat.

Perfect Companion for Our Old Office Chair
This is a beautiful, strong and comfortable Wood Bankers Desk Chair. It is a perfect companion for our much older oak desk chair. The two of them are shown in the attached photo. This new chair seems every bit as sturdy as our old chair. The parts of the chair were packed somewhat loosely in the box such that the side edge of the seat got bumped (see photo). The parts were easy to identify. I had almost no difficulty in assembling the chair. An attached photo shows how I used a small block of wood to insert in the center of the casters, which I could then tap into the caster receptacles with a hammer. This relieves the difficulty some people have had in installing the casters.

Made from Garbage wood and limited craftsmanship
My fault I dropped the leg assembly from about 1 foot onto floor. End of 1 leg shattered into 8 pieces broke like clay pottery no grain to wood just dry rot. Glued chunks back together doesn't look very good. Casters mounting holes out of round ( when a tube is welded upon it changes shape ) this is basic welding knowledge. Reamed holes to 7/16 inch casters are now a light hand press fit. Now the big kicker the seat is splitting in half down the center with the grain. Soon the seat will split in half. Very disappointed. Made in Thailand August 2020.

I wouldn't have ordered this had I known what I've learned: it's at the local dump
Don't take the risk: (See "Update")Arrived well packed but there were a few flaws in the "finish". On some places, on the "bends", the finish is quite thin, and on the "groove" in the seat, there's too much shellac or what-ever they used making for a red groove. When assembling, as is mentioned in other reviews, DO NOT TIGHTEN the screws until ALL the pieces are fully assembled! You're going to have to make adjustments as you go along. Even then, on the chair I received, one arm doesn't quite fit properly onto the seat. But fortunately, it isn't noticeable.Considering I've seen this same chair for much higher prices else-where, I have to say that this was a purchase I'm happy with, here, on Amazon.Warning: Carefully count all the pieces and parts and verify that all you need is there. After I'd assembled the whole chair I noticed that 4 of the little wooden "plugs" weren't in the package. I sent a request to the manufacturer asking for them and never even received an acknowledgement.Update: It's been WEEKS since I contacted the vendor/manufacturer and sent them their "official" order form asking for the little wooden "plugs" and not even the courtesy of acknowledging my request. So it appears that all they want to do is unload what-ever they can, collect the money and it's a done deal. Had I known, I wouldn't have paid for such disrespect.Further Update: DON'T waste your money! Spend a little extra and buy a reputable name brand. The "bellows" that holds the chair raised works for about 2 weeks and then... as you sit, you can feel the chair sink to the floor. No matter how you sit, the chair sinks. My back and shoulders are in pain from the constant change of height and having to get up every 3 minutes to re-adjust. It's going to the local dump. A complete waste of money! And NO customer support.
