Here is the total way to look at this. It is a part of a tremendous concept. You put all sorts of things that all of us need; such as, jumping your car, or charging your phone and more. This unit adds a very important utility for your battery pack (serarate purchase). Now, you have the ability to pressurize a flat tire, or two, maybe three flat tires. That’s how I can handle the high price. The battery pack is a strong lithium type. It holds its charge for quite a bit of time; although, I charge it about once every two months to be safe (it always reads between 98% to 100%). The whole package is greater than any one detail. Bottom line, it’s worth the money, and they also have a tremendous support staff. This company is the real deal. There are so many other things such as the charging cable’s rating and the foolproof connection to the battery. I could go on. Suffice to say, I really like having this in my Rubicon’s toolbox,

I got the Rugged geek battery first only, after looking at the quality and practicality of the battery I decided to buy this air pump.I used to have one of those air compressors that connects to the car 12v power outlet, it was a pain to use because my car had to be running in order to power the 12v outlet... With this one I eliminate that issue and it is super easy to use for other things than your car like: bikes, sport balls or even inflatable beach toys.

Have the RG1000 kit and after several uses the RG 150 stopped working so bought this as a replacement. First thing I noticed when I took it out of the box and flipped it over was that one of the plastic clips was broken and the attachments that were supposed to be clipped to the device were missing. No big deal. But then when I extracted the power cord from the device I noticed that the corner was frayed and the wiring exposed so definitely used and improperly pushed back in. I decided to return the device and will look for a different tire inflator to keep in my vehicle. Don't want to be stranded somewhere and find out the device doesn't work. So much for the brand name. More geek than rugged.

Works OK. It is very loud and the gauge is not very accurate, but was able to add 5 to 10 pounds of pressure to my tires.

Terrible product. Went through two of these, the second one literally went up in smoke the third time I used it. The first one didn't even last a year after only sporadic use. Avoid!

The pressure builds very slow

This air compressor works great. I would have given it 5 stars, but it is a little too painful to use the twist-on air chuck. I really miss the clip-on air chuck which is much more convenient to use. As I use my own digital tire gauge to measure the pressure (the built-in gauge is too hard to see detail and inaccurate), it takes a few twists and untwists to get the pressure right, which quickly becomes painful.

Tried to fill up a small ball and could not make a dent with this.

I have the newest Rugged Geek RG1000. With this compressor I have to hold the plug tightly into the charger or it won't work. That isn't good quality control.

Looking at the plug is misleading. You should show it is not a polarized plug for the wall. It needs a photo of the plug.
