Review: Great value backup - I needed a small backup generator that has "clean" voltage so not to wreck anything computer related-which is most things these days, when 30yrs ago any building site generator would do. Also I needed something fairly quiet so not to draw too much attention. Despite the usual "made in China" warnings, it is a nice running wee engine. Reasonably quiet with the insulated casing, but far from silent, you could have a conversation over it running. I like the eco feature, so that if running overnight or knowing you're only using up to 800W you can let the revs die back and it will just rev up as required, using less fuel and quieter at night. Not had a chance to do a proper run with it as no power cuts since getting it. Worth noting it's not waterproof, fine for me running in a car port, though be mindful not to allow fumes to enter your house if running nearby under cover. It has 13A square sockets, no 16A commando, prob as it won't be putting out anywhere near 13A, randomly came with a couple of 13A plugs to wire to your cable. Also comes with an earth connection- need to look into this, as generally we all just take the risk you won't have a fault requiring earthing the day your mains power is off.
