American style.
I like everything about this product typically American quality, sizing is exactly as it says. There brands are iconic and proven. In present times we tend to go for cheaper unknown makes from Asia usually and even in M&S you have to try before purchasing. The worst example is footwear now metric,no 1/2 sizes, imponderable to choose.

Durable classic that fits well
These are just what I wanted because I prefer ongoing predictability of the range rather than following current fashion and wondering if they will fit. I measure my waist at 32" and the 32" waist trousers fit me well and I know that when I reorder someday those will fit too. It worked to go slightly longer on the leg length seeing as they do sit higher than many modern styles. They also fit over my calves well; I am hardly well-built but some more modern "tailored"- or "straight"-leg trousers can kind of get caught. The material feels some thick and rough but the trousers feel comfortable and I expect them to be hard-wearing. The belt loops are wide and the zipper and clasp are metal. My only complaint is the side pocket shape: they are deep but they taper so each holds not much more than one rectangular thing.

Dickies men's Original 874 Work Straight trousers. Quality work ware.
These are by far the best work trousers I have ever purchased, albeit with a rather tight waist, but not uncomfortable. The length is perfect and the manufacture is excellent quality. For anyone wanting robust work trousers that are not cargo pants then I have found no better than Dickies men's Original 874 Work Straight trousers for many many years. Plenty of pocket space also with two back pockets although only the left has a button which being right handed is a little tricky to fasten. If your umming and arring about which to buy, these will not be a disappointment!

Make sure to order a size bigger
Got my usual size, that I've been using for years but for those were too tight. The bigger size felt enormous at first but got used to it. Btw the length is spot on.Great material as expected and have been wearing it a lot.

Poor quality, for a workwear brand.
Poor quality! I’ve worn them about 8 times, very light wear. Today I went to put them on, and the entire seam holding the waist band to the rest of the trouser has ripped of. The material and the thread holding it is clearly very thin and cheap.I’ve owned old style dickies with more use than this previously for years, and this has never happened, ever. Pretty disappointed as this clearly occurred due to new cheap manufacturing. Very disappointing considering that dickies garments are meant to be solid long lasting workwear.

People Saying They Don’t Fit?
Ordered a 34 waist and got a 34 waist; they fit perfectly with room as well so may need a belt. They fit a little higher than the waist so if you have a belly then that might be worth considering.Ordered from Amazon Warehouse, they had been returned, but was cheaper and nothing wrong with them at all, still had the tags on mine. Perfect for work, casual, or in my case a Freddy costume for Halloween. Very accurate to part 3.

Tight waist measurement - go a size up, leg length ok
This is just a sizing review, I have been a 32 waist for the last 20 years and if anything have lost a little weight recently. These are very tight at the waist. Can't be bothered with the hassle of returning so will see if they give a little and use a belt. If I was buying again would go for 33 waist and 32 leg as the leg length is fine. Other reviews also give the impression that the waist dimension is tighter than a normal uk fit. Will update the review after a little wear - first impressions are that the material feels very tough - a bit like sail canvas - which is what I wanted, something that withstand cycling to work and would look passable in an office environment. Just hope there is a little give in the waist....

Too tight even when a size up and extortionate return price
As recommended by other reviews, I bought a size up as these trousers tend to run small. However, when they arrived I found that they were still too tight on my upper thighs and glutes.Furthermore, when I attempted to return the product I found that it would cost 20 quid because it needed to be shipped back to America. If you desperately want a pair of these trousers buy them from a UK retailer.
