Hi, please kindly note the bag outer dimension: L: 18.9 inches W:5.9 inches H: 14 inches and handle drop length is about 9.4 inches. Thanks.

Q: Would it work to carry a rolled up yoga mat?

It depends on how big the mat is and whether or not you would mind it sticking out of the bag. Even a small yoga mat would extend over the top of the bag a few inches.

Q: Does this bag have a flat bottom ?

It has an informed bottom that forms when the bag is open but it’s not hard

Q: Would this hold up for everyday use carrying books?

I wouldn't use it as a book bag. I think it's good to carry, shoes, clothes as an overnight bag. I don't feel it's handy but not strong enough for everday book bag.
