dOvObMilitary F-16 Fighter Jet Building Blocks Set, Fighting Falcon Army Plane Toys as Gift for Kids or Adult (753 Pieces)

This set is actually an F-18, not an F-16...lol, it even says F-16 on the actual model, but it is decidedly not! I should've looked closer at the photo as it is clearly a twin-engine & twin tail, where the F-16 has only a single engine and tail. My husband got a laugh out of it & he and my daughter are building it anyway, but it would be nice if it was accurately identified.

This was a gift for my 10 year old grandson. He put it together in 1 day. It turned out amazing and he enjoyed creating it.

Came with missing parts. Not very good quality negative wings keep sliding down as also the tail

I ordered this set to build with my 11 year old son. I love the design of this kit. The jet is super cool with lots of detail. I was also surprised how large it is. The built jet is more than a foot long. I can only imagine that a similar Lego set would cost a small fortune. The whole set took the two of us several hours to put together at a leisurely pace over several days.The lego set came in roughly 12 to 16 plastic bags. This is not uncommon for larger lego sets and helps when building in multiple steps to avoid having to search through a giant pile of pieces. My only issue is that the markings on the bags which separated them into separate groups were _really_ difficult to read and could be easily missed. When building the jet, the vast majority of pieces fit together well, but I did have a couple of boards that were slightly warped and didn't snap together perfectly. This left a few very small gaps in the completed model. It was a huge deal but is why I knocked a star off from my rating. Otherwise, I probably would have given 5 stars.

Our nine-year-old grandson loves Legos, and I was sure he would like this dOvOb Military F-16 Fighter Jet Building Block Set. He didn’t like it…he loved it. Immediately he began assembling it. The picture instructions were easy to follow. He had to back up a few times during the build, but in those cases, he said it was his fault because he wasn’t paying attention and used the wrong block. Some blocks are very similar to others, and you must pay close attention to the minor details. He enjoyed the challenge, which took him about six hours to complete, including breaks. That’s quality time that wasn’t spent on video games or YouTube.The quality of the set is comparable to the Lego brand building blocks. All 753 pieces were present. The finished plane is remarkable, and the detail is exceptional for a building block toy. The only thing that stands out is that this is not an F-16 Fighting Falcon; it appears to be a F/A-18 Hornet. He said he wondered why an Air Force jet would have a tailhook for landing on an aircraft carrier.Conclusion: These types of building block sets are expensive. And for less than fifty dollars, this set comes at a very fair price. If I had purchased this at a store, I definitely would keep it. I will certainly be looking for more building block sets like this one. If the jet had been labeled correctly, I would have given it a five-star rating. So, I am making this a four-star review.

I really like this set, but a couple issues kept this great set from getting 5 stars from me. One of the things I really like about it is the overall design. A few annoyances like the the big canopy window and nose kinda breaking the flow of the surface. The underside of the plane looks great and I just love how well the landing gears, especially the rear ones, can be stored.The set is just under 16.5" length from tip of nosecone to back tail stabilizer and 13.5" in width from wing tip to wing tip.Easy to build and takes a couple hours to complete. The instructions are separated into 4 sections, but the the bags are separated into 2. Each big bag contains smaller bags for sections 1+2 and 3+4. All pieces were there and not a single extra piece leftover. The set does come with one minifigure, but it looks more like a Marvel Hydra Soldier than a Navy pilot.There are no stickers to apply, but that is where one of the issues comes in. A couple of the pieces have "F-16" printed on them. Well, this plane isn't an F-16. It's actually an F-18. You could possibly remove the paint if you wish to do so if it annoys you. I do wish this thing did have stickers to apply because I would've left them off completely.Another issue I have with this is that one of the folding wings is loose. I had to stick a random piece underneath just to temporarily hold it in place for now.All in all I really like this set, but the "F-16" printed and loose wings just barely keep it from 5 stars for me.

Make sure whoever is putting it together has a lot of patience. I have 3 grandsons, and only 1 stuck with it for more than an hour. The wings wouldn't stay up when it was assembled, but that was the biggest disappointment for him. I know we both enjoyed spending time working on it.

It’s a nice building blocks set. One glaring flaw is that this is an F-18 not F-16. So if you’re not sure about plane models and are buying this as a gift for someone, please be aware of this overall, the set was very nice to put together, and I had no troubles with it. It looks great displayed, and there was a lot of fun putting it together really great model minus the issue of which airplane model this actually is.
