How long is the main body of the lock?

It's really long; I used a nut and bold to shorten it, putting the bolt through a couple of links. I think it was originally about 9 inches, now I have it at about 7". It was for cat ingress and egress before a cat door was installed.

Can this be installed where door and door frame moulding are not flush? moulding is fancy and I don’t want to destroy it.

As long as you can get the 6 screws in somewhere.

Does this come with the proper fitting screws?
